The only reason I bought this puddle jumper over others is because it said it’s for the weight range 20-50 pounds, and we needed it for my 25-lb 20-month-old son. He’s obviously well within the appropriate weight range, but he can (and does) easily pull his arms out of the vest in 1.5 seconds after we put the vest on him. The vest is either too big for 25 lbs or not designed well for shorter arms. We can’t use it. I can imagine it would work much better for taller kids, and otherwise it seems well made and sturdy. ... show more

This fits my three-year-old perfectly with room to grow. She can get it on by herself and just needs me to buckle it. The buckle has a locking mechanism on it so it’s not easy to take off, and the strap can be tightened or loosened.
