I ordered this one because it has many bits of the same size. I have several bit sets with the most frequently used sizes broken. Now I don't worry about broken bits for it has so many of the same size. The quality exceeds my expectations for the price. I drill on wood and plastic in most of my projects, occasionally on metal. I tested drilling on iron, it cuts with no problems. The only issue is the set I received missing one piece of 9/64. This is not a problem because it still has 19. Another thing is I hope it covers the whole size span from 3/64 to 1/2, but 7/64 and 13/64 are not included. ... show more

Should have bought them a long time ago. I go too long before buying new bits haha. Always pleased an amazed how nice a new set are. SOOOO easy to drill holes again. These are great quality too. I'd buy them again without a second thought. Great for the money. Only used them a half dozen times so far and feel I got my money's worth already. It will be a few more years before I use them up. Hopefully next time I wont wait so long. ... show more

I tested a few bits on some sheet metal panels and they work great and cut through like butter. I tested it also on some scrap metal that was ping welded and it removed the welds easily and the tips stays strong on 15 or so welds. Great product and with 99 drill bits you get plenty size to choose from. ... show more

    • Bits CANNOT drill through even mild steel

I was very excited to receive the drill bits. They arrived as promised and I immediately opened the package to put the bits to the test. The bits come packaged in a very nice carrying case with sturdy latches to keep the case closed and individual labled compartments to maintain the bit organization. However, the bits, though advertised to use on steel, didn't keep a sharp edge after only seconds of attempting to drill through a fence post. On the product description label it states that the bits are for "steel" among other materials. Two bits broke right off the bat and were dull after a few revolutions. Why anyone would want a drill bit that cannot penetrate steel, is beyond comprehension. Unless you're just drilling wood or plastic, these bits are sure to disappoint. Even a nice carrying case can't make up for that. ... show more

These are ok for wood, but they are definitely not up to even mild, thin steel. It's good that there are so many bits, because every hole in metal with a bit 1/8 or less takes 4 or 5 bits. They break with even a little pressure.
