I like everything about this lock box, I picked it because my boyfriend has a similar one for his personal items and it's never failed. I wanted a more girly one and it is exactly what is described, the code is easy to change and it alarms when it is entered wrong to many times also! So do not lock your key in it its yours only option if this happens. It hold slot of little items but isn't too big so it doesn't need a lot of space to fit! ... show more

Look, this is a cheap safe--the walls are thin, and it would not stand up to an aggressive attempt to get in by someone with hand tools. But if you don't need something highly secure, you just need something that will prevent others from getting access to valuables or firearms, this will do the job. And if you want, you can easily bolt it to a wall or shelf or inside a cabinet to make it difficult to just pick it up and walk away. It comes with two bolts and is pre-drilled for them. One very annoying thing is that there does not appear to be any method in the design to disable the "beep" that sounds any time a key is pressed. That means that you cannot silently gain access to the contents. A fairly simple way to fix that is to remove the buzzer/speaker. When the door is open, the plastic cover over the electronics can be removed with a screwdriver. The electronics board is held in place by three small plastic clips that can be pinched to remove it. Unplug the three small cables (don't try to detach the ribbon cable). Flip over the board, and you'll see a small black cylinder which is the speaker. If you use a soldering iron to carefully melt the two solder points where the speaker is attached to the board, it will pull right off, and voila, the safe is now silent. I found that the buttons and lights still work just fine. Of course, this also means that the alarm for repeated incorrect code entries won't work either. But it will allow for silent access to the safe, which could be important for home security purposes. ... show more

This is a decent looking lock box. We received it last September. We just now got around to setting up the unit and a few concerns have cropped up during this process. First while this unit appears to have some level of armor on 5 sides of the safe, the bottom of the safe is constructed from a single layer of sheet metal. this may be fine if the unit was securely mounted with fasteners down through the base, but if wall mounted this leaves a serious vulnerability. Theoretically if a person with a dishonest mindset attempted to break into this safe while it was mounted on a wall rather than to a floor, the right tool would quickly and easily allow an unauthorized person to gain entry. Second, the documentation included with the safe states "If the battery fails, you will be unable to open the safe." Granted this is almost surely meant to be taken in a relative sense, however the implication is that even if you have the key, a dead battery will cause the safe to be in a perpetual state of being locked with no way to open it through the two means included in the design. These two means are the physical key, and the digital keypad. Finally, in the section "Warranty (Terms and conditions)" there is a typo in the sentence "We guarantee your safe will be free od(sp.) defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase." Our assumption based on our grasp of the English language is that this sentence was intended to be written as "We guarantee your safe will be free of defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase." All in all we don't have the time today to test whether concern number two is valid or if it is just a matter of phrasing. We are looking at purchasing another safe which is both larger as well as more secure and fire resistant due to our desire to own one with wider and more flexible profile of uses. We plan to do some comparative shopping in this process. For right now we will hold on to the unit this review concerns with the hope that we will find some use for it other than our original intention. Note to Manufacturer: I am copying this review and sending it to your company with the hope that my taking the time to write out this review will be helpful to current and future development and procedures within your organization. This product works perfect & does exactly what I needed it 2 do. I have a few things thats of value that Im always worried about someone taking when we leave the 🏡. So, I bought this small safe 2 put those things in. Its very sturdy, easy 2 use. Its battery & key operated. U get 2 pick your own code when u 1st recieve it. Theres an alarm🚨 on it, & if the batterys go dead & u cant put ur code in, then u always have a 🗝️ key to unlock it. Ive had absolutely NO complications w/ it, it works on the 1st try every time. Its pretty small & you can only fit a few small items in it, so if ur looking for a safe thats not to big, & only need 2 store a few small items, like jewlery & things like that, then this is the perfect safe for u. It also comes w/ bolts so u can bolt it 2 the wall or whereever u want 2. Its also portable, if u want 2 take it with u somewhere. Lightweight amd easy 2 transport.
