    • A true smart lock
This #Teeho Smart Lock was ordered to replace a "smart lock" which was only accessible via Bluetooth. The reason it was replaced is because we decided to rent out our home and wanted the ability to remotely change codes to manage access and even remotely open the door if needed. The previous lock would have required programming codes in advance (which would have created security concerns) or go onsite to reprogram the lock. This Teeho allows for true remote access and programming. We can now add and remove access codes, open/lock the door remotely and even use our Echo devices to control the lock from home. This is great to create one-time codes for guests, maintenance people, or anyone else who needs limited access to our vacation rental. The auto-lock feature is important for a vacation rental to ensure that the property is secure whenever the door is closed. This can be turned off when we stay at our vacation home. Installation was straightforward and easy. The connecting and programming took longer but it was an easy process. The lock looks great and has a sleek look that should fit with just about any decor. We really like the convenience it offers and find it to be a very good value. ... show more

This was a replacement for a push button lock I bought at a big box store almost 10 years ago. Needless to say, it is a HUGE upgrade. It was super simple to install and integrate with my home wifi and then connect it to my Google home. My two kids found it easier to work with as well.     • Screws don't allign well... had to leave it a bit loose
The screws did not align well together (Between the front and back plate) with the effect that when I tightened the two together, it would create resistance to the deadbolt opening / closing. I had to leave the installation a bit loose..... Feels like poor manufacturing ! Otherwise, the lock works well enough. It has a set of keys (good to hide around as backup). You can enter a code (you can assign multiple codes for different people). And there is an APP which connects the lock to your home wifi network. The app was rather well written and the setup and use of the app was very easy and clean. I installed other smart locks and while some had very poor software apps, they all tended to better on the physical level. And finally, for the price this unit does not have finger print reader. What a pleasure to be able to get in our home quickly. I am notoriously locking myself out in the early morning before dawn as I take our dogs out for their morning business. I now don’t have to harken anyone to let me in by knocking on windows…we put numerous combinations in memory so family members can have access and we are comforted our home is secure when left. Super easy install and it works exactly as advertised. Really well made and all the pieces fit together perfectly. Very good looking on the finish as well. The app is pretty cool and is, I think, very intuitive. I love that I can view the lock status (open or closed) on my phone from anywhere at any time.
