When my wife suggested that we get this coat rack, at first I balked. I mean, we have coat hooks by the front door -- what do we need with a coat rack, especially one that sells for less than $20? She ordered it anyway, and when it came, I got it put together in less than 10 minutes, and IT LOOKS GREAT! She got the white, which will match our entry way, but also could be used by the BACK door, which I never thought about -- I always just went to the front hall to get a coat and then went to the back door to chop wood or do other outdoor chores. This saves me all that! I now keep a work jacket and a pair of work gloves on this thing, she keeps a sweater hanging there, and we have an umbrella hanging on it, too. And still plenty of extra hooks for hats and scarves and whatever! Even though it comes in 4 sections, it goes together really well and you don't really see the sections. It has 8 hooks, and all of them are on 2/3rds of the surface, so that the "Back" of it does not have hooks, and it can be placed close to a wall. Very stable for lighter-weight items -- I wouldn't hang my heavy, full-length winter dress coat on it, but that always hangs on a hanger in a closet anyway. This rack/tree was not difficult to put together. It is a pretty sleek, modern design that doesn't clash with any decor. It fits snugly in the corner of my foyer and is now a dumping place for our jackets and sweaters. If we hang anything too heavy on it (my ankle length hooded faux fur), it can behave as if it is going to tip over. But it does have a pretty good center of gravity when we keep it down to light jackets and backpacks. ... show more
