I have a door with 2 deadbolts and wasn't sure how this will workout for me. SwitchBot is on the ball. Once everything got updated to the latest firmware automatically, I was able to sync both locks as if it's one lock and it works flawlessly. It took me a couple of hours to install. The magnetic bar, which needs to be put on the door frame, was more than 30 mm from the lock in my installation, but it still works well. The media could not be loaded. Although not complicated to setup there is one thing I feel people can get wrong if they’re not paying attention. The plastic adapter that goes on the lock needs to be centered on the lock’s pivot point. If not the adapter will come off or even break every time you try to open or close the lock. So, depending on where you’re lock’s pivot point is will determine where best to position you’re Switchbot lock. I had to position mine on the side because the pivot point on my lock is towards the bottom end of the lever. Other that, setup was super easy, barely an inconvenience. Perhaps my favorite feature will definitely be the auto lock feature. Probably one the main reasons I purchased this device. Peace of mind if I ever leave my apartment and forget to lock the door or think I forgot, I don’t need to run back home to check because I know the door will lock automatically. bought for my aunt because she had an incident where she locked herself out. the auto lock feature works very well and unlocking it is very fast. i felt a little iffy about the adhesive but hasn't fallen off and comes with extras. the fingerprint unlock doesn't seem to work some times. might be my aunt's age where it's hard to register her prints but it only works 3/5 times. maybe a firmware update will make it better. other than that, love the convenience ... show more

Update: When I initially bought this it worked really well for about 3 months. Then, it began to jam, it wouldn't open the latch and I couldn't open the latch myself. I had to remove it completely in order for the door to lock and unlock. Upon closer examination, it seemed that it had been moving slightly every time the lock was locked or unlocked. I didn't have the time to reinstall again until a couple of weeks ago. This time, it didn't even work at all. It kept jamming from the start. I couldn't lock or unlock the door, not even manually. I had to again completly remove it. Now, I don't have anymore of the 3m tape left and I'm wondering, is it even worth it to try again since it didn't work at all the second time. The completely ridiculous thing, which I didn't know when I bought it, is that there is a one year warranty, which should still well be valid, except that Switchbot will not honor it unless it's been purchased from their website. So if you're in a similar position to mine and you've bought their product anywhere other than their website, you're out of luck. These people seem to care so much about helping you when you first buy their product but after that, when they've got a good review from you, it's radio silence, you're on your own. I really wanted to like this, I wish it had continued to work and work consistently. I bought this Switchbot lock because I wanted a smart lock but I didn't want the hassle of changing out my existing lock. This worked out perfectly. I got the lock, touch Keypad and mini hub combo which you'll need if you want to be able to access the lock or door lock status remotely. Installation was pretty simple. The only thing I was a little frustrated with was that the installation video links were not included in the manual and I had to go looking for them. Also, the tool to open the battery door of the keypad was included but they didn't say in the manual what it is supposed to be used for and that was a little frustrating too. But once I found the installation videos everything became clear and from then on it was so simple to install and set up. Now I can lock/unlock the door from anywhere I have an internet connection. I have multiple ways to lock/unlock the door. And I can check to ensure that I've locked the door from anywhere with an internet connection. And I can still use my existing key in case of emergencies or when there's a power outage. All without drilling fresh holes in my door. I love this product. ... show more
