It has three settings, and it works really nicely. Definitely cools you off, but keep in mind, it blows the temperature of the air in the room. It will not cool you off if you are outside in 90 degree weather. I use it at work in an air conditioned environment when I get too hot from running around too much. It actually does a good job of cooling me off pretty quickly and keeping me comfortable. Keep in mind that you will only get about 2 hours of use from a full charge (I usually have it on the highest setting) Maybe you will get a little more time out of the charge if you use it on the first or second setting, but probably not much more. It's pretty comfortable; not too heavy, but you will feel it on your neck. It sort of looks and feels like headphones resting on your collarbone. The only downfall to this fan is that you can't plug it into an electric socket to charge it. It is USB charge only, which isn't a huge inconvenience but it does put a limit on where and when you can charge it up. ... show more

I bought this to keep me cool while wearing a mascot costume. It does beat not having any sort of fan at all, and I will definitely use it, but be aware that a fan next to your ears is... going to sound about like having a fan next to your ears. It's not super loud, by any means, but it's not exactly silent, either. I would probably not use this in a quiet setting. The power level is enough that even the lowest setting creates a reasonable breeze against your neck, which is good if you're hoping to hear what other people are saying. It's lightweight and very comfortable, and also very adjustable; to the point that it could do with being a little bit stiffer, once you get it to the ideal size. If I wore this while exercising, I would definitely worry about it falling off mid-set. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend, but don't buy this expecting a perfectly silent air-conditioner, rather than what it is; a pair of not-super-noisy small fans. ... show more

I bought this for an outdoor concert I'm going to in August, and I know I'm going to need all the help I can get to stay cool. I've been using it to see how it would hold up and so far it's been really great. I've begun wearing it when I go into my basement my workshop is down there and I work with resin, 3D printers, painting, and some metal work. Our house AC died a month or so ago now and we're currently surviving by using some window AC units, but unfortunately I'm unable to put one in the basement so it gets very stuffy down there. It makes it so much more bearable to go and work on projects. I was worried at first about issues with any chemical fumes (I work with a lot of 99% IPA, also spray paints and other solvents as well as photopolymer resin) but I've not had any issues with those at all. We do have a large exhaust fan that I have on when I need to spray paint something and the overall ventilation in our basement is very good, but seeing as this sits around my neck and blows the air right at me I'd imagine it would suck in any fumes that were close by and shove them in my face. Hasn't been the case at all, thankfully. I've also worn it while sanding and using a rotary tool on resin parts which generate quite a bit of dust, but it didn't seem to have any problems with it either. So far, so good! It's not very loud unless it's on high, but the low setting does a pretty good job on its own so I've not had to turn it up much. Haven't yet done a stress test of the battery life, and it did take awhile to charge but that was straight out the box. My only wish is that you could use it while it was plugged into a battery pack. But, for the price it works great! My husband even ended up buying himself one. ... show more
