There is absolutely no give in this paddle, no flex, no wobbling, no breaking. It is sturdy, and well built. After one additional turn of the pressure lock tab it clamps down tight and doesn't let go of the handle. There's another spot with a pressure button to break it down even further for packing. It also comes with a second paddle that can be attached instead of the handle making it sit down double headed paddle like a kayak paddle. At first I thought the angle of attack on the paddle was a little aggressive. However after using it I really enjoy how it pushes and pulls the water and propels you forward effortlessly. This will be my new SUP/paddle board paddle, as well as I will bring the extra head mounted on my paddle board incase at any point I want to sit down I can just easily paddle without having to adjust or change much. just flip the handle for the head and get to sitting and paddling. Some paddles will twist or bend as you maneuver through the water, not this one. it's solid!!!! Nice and long when extended too. I'm 6'1" and it goes longer than I need for a SUP when fully extended. Also it floats when dropped in the water, which is super handy! I would recommend. Great product. ... show more

It is summer time warm again and we are headed out on the water!! Can't wait to take out this kayak/paddleboard combo and see how it performs! Lightweight and super easy to put together. Spring pin on one end of the main central shaft connects into one of the paddle blade. Other end is grooved to match either: A - the other paddle blade to go kayaking, Or B - the long handle to go stand up paddle boarding. In other words, it's darn near dummy proof and pretty hard to screw up putting it together. Think a blindfolded twelve year old in the dark could figure this out. Ok,... so I'm being dramatic. Point is it's versatile and aside from painting one end blue and the other one red, they've pretty well made it clear which part goes where. Solid and sturdy parts. Solid and sturdy once put together. And very lightweight. I don't see this kayak/paddleboard combo having any trouble out on the bay this weekend. If it does, I'll update. Otherwise, I'm excited to get out there and have some fun!! ... show more

I haven't had a chance to take this out on the lake yet, but here are my initial impressions. Having the option to convert a SUP paddle into a double-sided "kayak" paddle is a great idea. There are plenty of times that I'm on the lake and just want to sit or kneel on the board. This paddle will make that a lot easier to get around. I posted photos of this paddle (in lake blue) next to my other SUP paddle, and next to my kayak paddle. It's easy to recognize that the paddle shape is quite different from a kayak, so I wouldn't recommend this if that's going to be your primary use. It's also considerably longer than a kayak paddle. My photo shows it at the shortest possible position. The other drawback is that it is heavier than my other paddles. My standard kayak paddle is 1.8 lbs. This paddle is 3.1 lbs. It is very sturdy and feels well-built. Overall, I like it. I'll share an update after I take it out for a paddle. ... show more

This paddle allows you to use it for both SUP or kayaking, and is easily adjustable between them. It also floats- which I know it is supposed to do, but I always test that after losing a SUP Paddle that didn't float when it was supposed to. The paddle is comfortable to hold, and it seems to give a solid push through the water when paddleboarding. This is replacing my primary paddle, but it is also affordable enough to make it a good option as a back up paddle. ... show more

The FunVZU paddle can be easily assembled as a single paddle with a handle or a double paddle for kayaking or paddleboarding. The various pieces lock in securely. The paddle can be quickly adjusted to different lengths with the pressure lever to suit people of most heights. The paddle floats and is very lightweight.
