🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The firepit from these reviews is generally found to be aesthetically appealing and deep enough for fires. It has good ash containment, and despite some reservations about its durability, it is considered of a higher quality than the ones available in big-box stores. However, some users found the ash screen less effective and reported that the product can show signs of rust after several uses.

Pros

  • 🔥 Aesthetically appealing
  • 🥇Higher quality than big-box store options
  • 🌳Effective ash containment
  • 🌅Great for outdoor decks and patios

Cons

  • ⚖Possibly not as durable as expected
  • 🔗Inadequate ash screen
  • 🦟Risk of rust development
  • ⚠️Potential to scorch grass if placed directly on a lawn

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you're looking for an aesthetically appealing firepit for casual usage and you're willing to maintain it to prevent rusting. It's not heavy-duty, so if you expect to use it frequently, it might be worth considering a more sturdily built option.

  • Looks good but ash screen does so-so job
The firepit looks great on our paver patio- and by all means be sure to have a grill mat under it or the ash that gets out will stain your patio/deck. If you want to make a smaller fire, one for 2 people to maybe burn for an hour, its kind of large and the logs will get “lost”. The ash screen is an odd shape that fails to cover the whole open face of the pit so embers can and do fly out into the wind. I like it but wish the screen protected better. • Inexpensive for a reason
The fire pit was actually flexible, which did not imbue confidence with me that it could hold up under frequent use. I am returning it. I'll spend more to get a better quality.

  • Works but not Heavy Duty
I've had this fire pit for about 4 months and it's probably had about a dozen uses, all with wood collected from the property. The grill is well enough made for the money, but it's certainly not heavy duty. Doing a little fall cleaning I power washed the interior of the pit and not surprisingly found a good 5-10% of the surface rusted. The power washer took off most of the rust and then I applied a high heat black rust-oleum spray paint for grills on the entire interior of the pit. The screen top also had some incipient rust so this to was power washed and coated with the rust-oleum. I didn't expect this pit would last for 5 years when I purchased it, but I've got to say I'd like to have seen it last for more than a year before I felt the need to paint it. ... show more

  • One of the better ones out there, but the metal is not as thick as stated.
This is a quality fire pit that is nicer than the ones you can buy at the big box stores. It costs a lot more as well. There are a couple of weaknesses, though. For one, the description says "This outdoor fire pit is engineered to last: It features 0.25-inch thick steel construction and black high-temperature paint..." There is no part of this fire pit that has 0.25-inch thick steel - not even close. I would be hard pressed to say there is even 1/8th inch thick steel. Even though, it is nicer than some of the super-thin steel you find on much cheaper models and most models in the big-box stores. Because it's nowhere near .25-inch thick steel, it's at least not heavy and you can move it around with ease. Quarter inch thick steel would actually be rather heavy. The greatest design benefit of this model is the sides do not have decorative open spots/holes/etc. (there are drain holes in the bottom of the bowl part and in the bottom base part (leading to a moisture trap, of sorts, between the two). Because the sides are not opened, you can use this fire pit on your back porch and not have to worry about ash falling out and messing up your porch/deck/etc. - this is simply not true with a lot of other fire pits out there. This firepit truly does contain all the ash mess until you are ready to clean it up. It also looks quite nice. I will update this review if I note it rusting - but to start, the paint seems well adhered. We've burned in it several times and there's no evidence of scratches or anything (We do NOT use metal tools with this fire bowl to avoid scratching the paint). ... show more

  • Happy about my purchase.
This is a beautiful product and is as good of quality as any firepit I've seen. It has 3 screws to support the screen topper, which are easy to miss when putting the top onto it, which allows the lid to fall into the drum. It could easily use 6 screws to rest the top upon. Also, since there aren't legs, the base captures heat, so be careful where you place this item to use. I have a circle of scorched grass in my yard. Bottom line: it works, it's beautiful, and I'm happy. ... show more
