I wanted to replace our old rusted out pit, purchased in 2017, with something newer. I like the removable grilling grates, which seem to be the popular feature on the higher priced models, also the removable lid is a nice feature. I chose this one for the price and it is the same size as my old pit. The assembly was easy, just make sure the outer rings, marked “E” and “F” are in the correct sequence, I mixed two up and had to backtrack! But over all assembling it was a breeze using a cordless screwdriver rather than the supplied tool. Not exactly super heavy duty, but seems to be well made with good materials. Burns great too. I have some doubts about using the grates for grilling, seems the mesh is a bit wide for handling burgers, but we will experiment and see how it goes! My girlfriend and I love using our new firepit at home. I purchased this for us upon returning from a recent camping trip where we did a campfire every night and roasted s'mores. This firepit has been such a great addition to the backyard! Lately we’ve honestly been looking for any excuse to have a fire. This particular firepit is great - sturdy, good design, has yet to show signs of rust even though it’s been left out in the rain. I’m also happy I chose this one with its round design, vs other options online that are rectangular; The round design really brings people together around the fire. After seeing this item while searching for a fire pit on Amazon, I was excited to find something multifunctional. This item can serve as a fire pit, grill and a table. I saw that several of the reviews mentioned damaged peices, misaligned holes and not being able to screw the screws into the pre-drilled holes. The item I received was very well packaged. Styrofoam was placed at the four corners of the shipping box and the pieces where wrapped and tapped closed with bubble wrap. It came with the multi tool to assemble, but it was much easier and faster to use my own screwdriver. The instructions were very clear and it was fairly easy to put this together. I did experience some issues with screwing the screws into the pre-drilled holes, but once I was able to get it properly aligned and started, I was able to finish it without an issue. I understand why some people say that the screw holes on the fire pit bowl don't line up because it happened to me to begin with. I then realized that I did not push the fire pit bowl all the way down onto the pegs before tightening up the wing bolts that hold them in place. Some reviews also mention that The instructions state "Do NOT bake food directly on the cooking grate, Please use the food pan or food grade aluminum foil to grill indirectly." This item does not come with an additional food pan. The instructions don't say why to not grill directly, but possibly to retain the integrity of the grill or maybe related to the coating? I don't know. Additionally, some reviews report and the instructions state "Do not place wood directly into the bottom of the fire pit. Place wood only on the log rack.". The item does not come with an additional log rack. Additionally, I am attaching a photo of the safety information for this item. It is helpful to read through this before purchasing this item. I give this item four starts mainly because it would be helpful for them to include all of the safety information in the listing so that consumers can make a more informed decision for purchasing. The biggest concern I have is wondering if I will have a problem with my children touching the fire pit outer ledge while the fire pit is hot considering sometimes we will possibly use this item it as a table. I foresee that we will have to be very mindful of that. I am personally impressed with the item although I have not used it yet. First off, I want to start off by saying that I did get this when it was on sale but looking back now, with everything I know, I would've bought it at full price. I got this as a gift for my partner and hands down he LOVED it. It comes with a cover, poker, lid and some grills to cook food on. All of that combined, by itself, makes this worth it. The actual firepit itself is BEAUTIFUL!!! Large enough that 7-8 people can sit around it comfortably. Assembly wasn't hard and was pretty quick for two people to put together. I love the lid feature because it helps put my mind at ease when we are trying to let the embers out; all we have to do is put a lid over it and just keep an eye out to make sure everything dies out. I honestly didn't think about how often we would use it but we use it so much because of how much we love it. I'm honestly terrified of using firepits because I always feel like the ones I have dealt with aren't secured enough but this firepit has thrown out so many worries just because of how nicely it is built!!!! ... show more

This firepit is perfect for my purposes. I love that it serves multiple functions: firepit, table & dual-level grill. It’s really easy to add or remove the grill grates as needed. The lip around the edge makes a nice place to set plates while serving (or to rest marshmallow tongs). The included cover is great to protect the firepit against weather. My only minor problem was assembly. While the instructions are concise and easy to follow, I could have used an extra set of hands during certain steps. However, I was obviously able to successfully complete assembly by myself, so definitely not a deterrent. Overall 5 star product. Recommend! ... show more

Yes build quality is a bit lacking but for the price the fit is acceptable and it works really well! This fire pit is simply beautiful. It's very easy to assemble, I made it alone. I don't like assembling things at one go so I did it over two days with 30 mins each. One instruction was unclear so have attached pics. I haven't used as yet but it looks amazing.
