Between work, and gaming, I spend a lot of time at my computer and as I get older I was finding my cheap $100 "gaming" chair was longer sufficient, and my back would begin to hurt after more than an hour. I did *a lot* of research, watching reviews, reading reddit opinions and the consensus was A) gaming chairs are all crap and B) the Steelcase Leap v2 is the best you can get. However brand new they are very expensive ($1500-$2k) but after reading more reviews, I kept seeing Crandall pop up again and again as a good place to get a used Leap V2 Now you can can get a used leap V2 cheaper elsewhere, however the reason its worth it to spend $600 at Crandall is their warranty guarantee (12 years) and the amount of work they put into refurbishing the chair. Everything from deep cleaning, new casters, new (thicker!) seat pad, etc the chair looks like it just came off the factory floor. Putting the chair together was super easy, their instructions are very detailed (see picture), you will not see poorly-explained Ikea-esq diagrams here! They also have a customer support hotline. As for comfort, others have explained better than me, but the amount of adjustability options this chair has are amazing. Once I had everything set up, I can sit in this thing for hours and not have any back issues or discomfort. I expect this chair will last me a long, long time and highly recommend! ... show more

    • Perfect, Like new Restored Chair
Like many of you, I did a lot of research before making this purchase. Even though I didn't go with them, you have to thank BTOD for their quality content and even letting me know that this who remastered Leap thing existed. After watching many videos and reading opinions all over the internet, I decided to go with Crandall. BTOD has a lot of reviews saying it takes a while to get the chair, and I didn't want to wait so Crandall it was! Seeing I could buy through them on Amazon, as a Prime member, was even sweeter. After purchasing, it was said I wouldn't get the chair for around 2 weeks but I came in less than one. Now to the chair. It's perfect. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to long term, but I can say that it looks brand new all around and performs amazingly with no problems. Assembly took around 10-15 minutes with everything mostly put together already. The fabric is all brand new, and you can tell the seat looks a bit more substantial than the regular Leaps in the videos due to Crandall replacing the padding. The chair itself is much heavier than it looks and it's obvious immediately that this thing is the real deal compared to the $200 cheap ones I've been using. I'm 5'8 170 with short legs and the chair is able to fit me just fine. Due to the other adjustment options, like the seat sliding, this could definitely accommodate a much larger person as well. My mom thought I was weird for spending most of my old Christmas money on a refurbished Steelcase. I assured her, it has a 12-year warranty. 12 years means that Crandall Office really trusts itself with my spine and butt-cheeks. I reminded my mom that I was getting a degree in computer science. Either I learn to float while spending hours at my desk or get a new chair. Main Review: 1. Assembly: I have sticks for arms. If you have to bring it upstairs, I recommend opening the box and taking up each part one by one. Assembly was easy until sliding the seat into the seat glides. It took more than 20 tries to get it on. Either I'd put it in and the seat glides fall out, or it doesn't click in place. Since I couldn't see where I was sliding into the seat, it was a bunch of finger-crossing and guesswork. Once the seat was in, it was all sunshine and rainbows. 2.) Feel I'm incredibly short (F), 4'11" (150cm). So I have to put the chair and armrests at maximum height in order to align myself with my desk. I have to hop on the chair to get on it. My legs dangle off the floor. I can criss-cross-apple-sauce while sitting. I don't need a headrest. All the benefits/woes of a petite person. Regardless of my "short"comings, this chair is crazy comfortable. I was used to the abuse of my old chair. I forgot that I can sit back and relax while simultaneously typing. I can push back and the chair reclines backward along with me. I don't even know what a lumbar is, but it's being supported. I have had 0 upper back pain since the purchase of this chair. Love this chair. Love sitting in it both for gaming and for work. I think it has helped with my lower back pain. This was an absolute BREEZE to put together as well. I would highly recommend this chair, and this company for getting a Leap at a reasonable price.

    • Extreme overall comfort.
This chair is has an extremely comfortable seat however, as a bigger person (340 lb.) the seat is to small for me. I decided to buy this chair due the 400 lb. rating and positive reviews regarding comfort however, I did not research the seat size well enough. This chair has the most comfortable seat of any desk chair I have ever owned and the adjustments are easy to do. One thing of note is the arm rests are adjustable up and down and lock in place however, the other adjustable functions of the arm rest do not lock they slide. ... show more

    • Excellent chair for working from home
I have bought at least seven or eight chairs during my time working from home since 2011. After a year or so each of the chairs broke down so much that when I would get up, my hips would ache and you would hear my bones crack into place. I’ve had this chair for the past three months. I feel much better alignment in my spine and I feel so much better getting up at the end of the workday. If you have any hesitation about buying this chair go for it!
