I purchased this light in April of 2020. It served me pretty well for years. However, the lights would occasionally shut themselves off due to overheating. Issue slowly but steadily got worse until they became almost unusable after about 20-30 minutes of being powered on. I reached out to the seller and they said they have since corrected the problem and sent me a replacement (after some back and forth). Assuming the issue has been solved would definitely recommend this light and am glad the company did the right thing and sent me a replacement as I would expect a product at this price point to perform well and last a long time. ... show more

I cannot believe how bright these lights are! The tripod stand is much sturdier than my previous standing work light and the light-aiming adjustments work very well. Stanley has developed a great product here. Minor issue: the height extension tube and clamps are a little stiff when adjusting the height of the light head, but it's not terrible. My only significant concern is how hot the lights and the surrounding housings become after the lights have been on for several minutes. The housings get hot enough that it's uncomfortable to leave your bare hand on it for more than a second or two. My concern is not about burning myself; but rather the lifetime of the LEDs will likely be significantly reduced with all that power and heat dissipation (a common problem with high-powered electronics). ... show more

This is a well designed, fairly priced worklamp. I like that it closes up to a compact tube shaped package, and that cord storage is included. It's unfussy and easy to extend to full height, and bright enough to fill a room. There's a clever cord clip to run the cord out through the bottom of the lamp, which stops it from tipping over when you trip on the cable. Nontheless the unit is sturdy enough to survive being knocked over: just try that with your old halogen worklights - everytime they fell over, the bulb would blow. I got this to replace my old style work light. My old one burned so hot that you could cook on it! I think it was halogen, but I’m not sure. Anyway, my old made me nervous every time I turned it off and left it in my garage, so I bought an off-brand LED first. It arrived broken, so I decided to go with a trusted brand, Stanley. It’s very futuristic looking, but it arrived perfectly, and I didn’t have to do any assembly. It’s extremely bright, and easy to use. I’m very happy with it! I found a review on "Nanook Outdoors" youtube channel that shows this stanley 7k lumen light and the lutec 7k lumen light. I bought both and returned the stanley. I did like the warmer light of the stanley but it just wasn't as bright and the heatsink isn't as good.
