Our obsessive electrician was doing some major work for us and was using one of these towers. Knowing this guy's meticulous nature, I was sure that he would have been using a good product. As expected, this is a first-rate device. The light tower operates intuitively and easily. It opens very easily and the entire device feels sturdy, even at maximum extension. The head is easily aimed where you want it. The battery fits perfectly. It is very bright on high, and quite usable on low. This was purchased for emergency use. Fortunately, no emergencies have occurred in the few days since I bought this. I have not tried to see how long it will stay bright on battery power, so I cannot comment on that. Milwaukee appears to have great designers and engineers. This light is awesome. It sets up and breaks down in literally 5 seconds and can light a whole room very well. I do electric work. This thing is invaluable when dealing with things like panel swaps in basements when you need reliable light for extended amounts of time. This Milwaukee 2131-20 M18 Rocket Dual Power Tower light is indispensable. Having the ability to plug it in for longer jobs and the availability of using a Milwaukee M18 battery when 120v access is either unavailable or unnecessary is superb. After buying one of these lights at a great price, I purchased two more. They have never let me down. The only reason it gets four stars that is it does not charge the battery... As a carpenter of 30+ years, I have used all sorts of lights. From the cheap clip-on 120v aluminum dome lights to the hot, fragile, and power hungry double halogen stand lights, I have finally found the best lights ever. The versatility of the height extension and maneuverability of the light head combined with the versatility of the 120v/M18 power choice, the ease of portability, and the compact size make them the right choice when light is required. I have used these in environments ranging from extreme dry and dusty desert to rain and mud and they have never let me down. Going to a job, it is the last thing loaded into my truck and the first thing out. Packing up from the job there is nothing like being able to get the thousands dollars of tools packed and loaded up without having to worry about either tripping over a cord or packing said cord up. The M18 cordless feature means it can be moved around so I don't miss picking anything up and allows me to do my cleanup not worrying about having donated any of those tools to the client. If you are already on the Milwaukee M18 train or are considering getting on it, I highly recommend putting this on your list to buy. You will thank me later. ... show more
