Description

The 18V LXT® Tower Work/Multi-Directional Light (DML814, tool only) is a tall, towering light extending to an overall height of 7-1/4 feet. It delivers 3,000 /1,700 /900 lumens on High / Medium / Low settings. Get up to 10 hours of continuous illumination with one 18V LXT 5.0Ah Battery on low and up to 2 hours on high (battery and charger not included). L.E.D. lights effectively illuminate work area without the high heat of halogens. This tower light features three adjustable heads that rotate 180-degrees vertically. Other features include a dust and water-resistant construction (IP55-rated when using battery) for improved operation in harsh job site conditions. The tower folds and features convenient should strap and handles for easy transportation. It is part of Makita’s 18V LXT System. The LXT Cordless System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, takes a user from power tools to outdoor power equipment to get the job done. There is not much room for improvement on this product. As with everything, I wish the battery would last a tad bit longer, but realistically the battery life is pretty darn good. The only improvement I could suggest for this product is to have either a place to store a second battery right on the unit or to have a second battery compartment that you could quickly switch to when the first battery dies. It is nice that the unit will dim itself, letting you know the battery is getting weak and giving you an opportunity to swap out the battery instead of just dying without any notice. ... show more

It is has much more stability then expected with battery that high. Very easy to use and has decent battery life. Wish it had a plug to run off power as well as battery but knew it did not before buying.

This light is same as Milwaukee and Dewalt but 3x price....so disappointed in makita. I wish I knew how shady they were before I bought into there products. Even with batteries. Old batteries don't fit new brushless. How about be good to your customers and be competitive....ANYONE WANT TO BUY MY MAKITA L8NE OF TOOLS? Got over 60 tools sadly ... show more
