SUCTION CUP MOUNT I bought the SP Connect suction cup mount with the SP Connect phone case. Pretty cool mounting system and it works with GoPro mounts. It’s perfect for when I’m using my navigation on my phone. I used to keep the phone on my lap and now I feel so much safer having my phone mounted to the window. I’ve used other suction cups in my car in the past and they would sometimes fall off. The SP Connect suction cup is really sturdy and the suction cup works way better than some of my old ones. FINAL UPDATE: One out of three have worked. We have two 2016 Subaru Outbacks and wanted to use the suction cup mount on the little forward window of the front door. This way the phone doesn't block the vent, it's out of the windshield, and we didn't have to glue anything to the interior of the car. All in all, really clean and elegant-if it would work. This is our third attempt, as the first was defective and the second one worked. Oddly, the interior of all three suction cups we have received have strange markings inside, as if someone took a brillo to them during manufacturing. I have included a photo of the surface for this final review. Original Review: As far as the concept goes, it would have been amazing. But it wouldn't hold for more than 3 hours, despite clean glass and exquisite care of the suction cup. Amazon is replacing with a new one, we'll see what happens. I did NOT experience any of the too-tight connection of the phone to the unit itself, everything worked better than I hoped except for the suction cup failure. Overall, I really wanted this to work, but trying a fourth time is just too much to ask. ... show more

For the first month it would keep falling off of my windshield after about an hour. Once I could get it to stay for more than a day, twisting my phone off became nearly impossible because the mount would twist with the phone. Id have to take the entire mount off, hold it tight, twist the phone, then re-mount. If I twist the mounting point with all my strength, maybe I can get the phone to twist off easily a few times, then that's it. ... show more
