But he has been very vocal reporting that he “LOVES IT!” It’s well made and extremely sturdy as it holds his iPhone 15 Pro Max with an Otterbox case. He has had zero issues with the suction cup. It also has a telescopic ability and operates perfectly. I ordered 8 different mounts for him to choose from. He did not want to test drive the remaining 5 after he opened the Vanmass. Purchased this item nearly 3 years ago, worked great the whole time; never dropped the phone or disconnected from the mounting surface (car dash). Unfortunately it got a little loose during a cold snap and the ball/socket mount broke during tightening. I sent a picture of the issue to Vanmass' customer service and they responded within a day, quickly assessed the issue, and sent a replacement part under warranty. I mainly bought this because of the suction cup attachment to windshield, and I have read bad reviews about cup holder or air vent attached phone holders. Just for the heck of it, I wanted to see how it would function attached to my air vent since the phone gives multiple options for attachment. It actually seems OK, doesn't block the air too much, fairly stable with just a trace of vibration, and my charging cord attaches conveniently. The device seems pretty solid, and mounting and dismounting phone is incredibly easy. Screen visibility and accessibility is good. I'll try this for a while and then switch to the windshield suction cup if the air vent attachment proves less than desirable. It was in my friend's car that I noticed this car phone holder. He said it had worked for more than a year without any issues. This seemingly simple holder contains so many features and designs that I almost snuck away with it, lol. After getting the product link from my friend, I also compared it with other mounts. It does cost a bit more, but it's really worth it! Due to the complex environment inside the car, such as bumps, high temperatures, and space, a good car phone holder should take many factors into account. Here are some of the factors that I consider when choosing a car phone holder. 👉Appearance. The appearance is as described, but if you check carefully, you will find it has a matte black design that does not easily leave fingerprints. The sides of the clip arm and the bottom of the phone holder are protected by soft silicone pads that not only hold the phone firmly but also prevent any scratches on my phone. While I haven't had any issues with the device causing scratches, it's pleasant to see that. 👉Phone compatibility. This car phone mount works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra whit a thin case. Whether it is compatible with your phone or case depends on the clamp arm's width and height. The width of the arm is adjustable and the maximum width you can reach is approximately 3.5 inches the height of the arm is one knuckle high of the index finger. As long as the width and thickness of your phone plus case do not exceed these two dimensions, it is compatible. In fact, the adjustable design of the clip arm width of this mount makes it suitable for most phone sizes. 👉Mounting method. It is equipped with a suction cup and a clip, allowing you to mount it in multiple positions according to your preferences and needs. For me, one suction cup is enough as I only use it on the dashboard. The extra clip is convenient for people who change cars often. You can transfer the phone holder from the suction cup to the air vent clip. 👉Stability. This mount has been tested on my friend's car for over a year and is still stable. I have also been using it for over a month and it holds my dashboard firmly even when driving on bumpy roads. It doesn't wobble at all while I'm driving! It can be used with one hand and I can easily put my phone in the holder and take it out without distraction. 👉Viewing angle. When choosing a holder it is critical to consider the viewing angle, otherwise, it will affect our driving safety. The telescopic arm has two fixed buttons. One is to control the angle of the telescopic arm and the other is to control the length of the telescopic arm. The phone holder and suction cup are linked by a ball. It can be rotated 360 °, by making adjustments to these positions, you can adjust its direction in the car at will to ensure that your eyes do not have to move away from the road. It's also worth mentioning that this seller's after-sales service is top-notch, about which you can also be convinced by other reviews. The company has excellent customer service. After hearing of the issue I had with the holder, they promptly sent out replacements. I had purchased a cheap vent holder that I promptly returned because the new one was great. I used the hook type mount attachment to my vent and it works like a charm. It's very stable and was much easier to put on than the original with my vent. I'm very happy and impressed by this company that stands behind its product. Thank you so much! ****** This product has a lot of reviews and looked promising I bought it in December of 2023 and here I am in August of 2024 but after many months of frustration with this thing now trying to find a new phone holder. My observations of what the problem is with the vent attachment is that 1-the vent clip is not long enough and 2-the switch that makes the arms open and close is so difficult to use while it's on the vent. It's really a faulty design at least for my car which is a Mazda CX-5. I spent months constantly reattaching the holder and with time, the little vent arms never fully closed. Ig they started to warp or bend. Idk. Also my car does not have a flat spot on the dash for the dash holder and I couldn't c any meaningful position to mount it to the window which after reading many reviews about the problems with that was prob a blessing in disguise. Also, when I loosened the vent attachment to c about a possible window attachment, one of the plastic pieces that go around the ball broke. All I did was unscrew it normally.
