  • Good, with a little bit of practice.
I bought this drill bit along with a few other smaller sizes. I used them to drill holes into clear pieces of Plexiglas. Before I ordered these specialty drill bits, I had attempted drilling holes with regular wood drill bits, and the piece ended up cracking where the holes were drilled. But with these, I was able to make nice, clean holes with a little bit of practice using a scrap piece of plexi. My only concern was that in my practice holes, the plexi chipped off where I made the hole. Just a tiny amount; but this is why I recommend working your way up from the smaller drill bit sizes, to the desired size hole. And don't drill in too quickly, otherwise chipping also occurs. I've worked with plastics on a few different projects, so I feel like these problems may have something to do with the nature of plastic, and not the drill bits themselves. These drill bits did the job nicely, so I'm happy with them. ... show more

  • The right bit for acrylic
Size: 3/8 in
I own a sign company. I've cracked a piece of acrylic on a job site trying to use a high-quality standard bit (cost me $250 to replace the sign). But what's worse is when a well-clamped acrylic sheet gets caught in the grooves of a standard bit and the sheet spins around and nails you in the leg. This is the right tool for the job. It cuts through acrylic without the cracks or bruises. I don't know whether it's better than other specialty acrylic bits, but it worked for me. ... show more

  • Ruined my $200 boat plexiglass
Size: 1/4 in
This drill bit is advertised as being for acrylic and plexiglass but I'm pretty sure it is just a plain old drill bit. The drill but I received was black and looked nothing like the one in the picture above. It left cracks and chips in every hole I drilled (about 8 in all) on the new plexiglass for my boat. $200 down the drain because of this fraudulent item. I should have test it on my old glass but I trusted the listing. Lesson learned. Do not buy this drill bit if you are drilling into any plexiglass or acrylic. ... show more

  • good product
Size: 3/16 in
this drill worked well on my plexiglass. I drilled a very small hole before using this one, but it did not break the 1/8 inch plexiglassI was drilling into.

  • Did not melt plastic
Size: 7/32 in
I was told I had to buy a special drill bit for our plastic table tops or it would melt the plastic. So, I bought this drill bit and it worked. Plastic did not melt. Perfect size for the job.

  • No issues

  • Awesome Bit!
Size: 1/4 in
When something meets all the expectations of a purchase, I call that awesome. This bit is awesome! It drilled holes in 1/8th" plexiglass without problems. I clamped my plexiglass to a hard surface with a space underneath the area I was drilling and got perfect results. Couldn't recommend this bit more. ... show more

  • Totally useless garbage
Size: 3/16 in
This is a normal (though very overpriced) twist bit and is worse than useless for drilling acrylic/ plexiglass! The point angle of bits for plastic drill bits should be approximately 60deg, as is widely documented by manufacturers of that material. This bit (at least the one I received) has an angle of 126.5deg and indeed cracked the second surface of my test piece. An absolute scam, I will never buy this brand again. ... show more
