I remember first came out in late 90's. Cool Guy at the factory in Oside sold me a huge pink poly pro board and installed the Wahoo leash plug there. That leash plug worked like a charm and never popped out despite surviving back to back el nino's and some nice sized nor cal kegs. To my shock it held in there. Never understood the logic of buying a $250 piece of foam and punching a hole through it. Do people buy a brand new surfboard and punch a hole in it? Seems backwards. Either use the Wahoo plug or just go leashless IMO. Stoked this product is still available after all these years. ... show more

This is the ONLY plug I use on all my boards. I've used traditional plugs before but don't like punching a hole thru the board. Never had an issue with water leaking in the board due to the strong seal and bond from Sponge-REZ. Very confident with plug holding against heavy waves and will outlast the Bodyboard. Great product.     • Dissolved foam inside Catch Surf beater.
I'd give zero if I could. This product lists catch surf by name in the listing. I installed this in a catch surf beater and went to check on it a few hours after installation to find that the adhesive had dissolved the foam around the plug. There is a giant hole about the size of a racket ball where I installed the plug. I wouldn't trust it with any board because they obviously do not know which brands or types of foam this is compatible with. ... show more
