  • Ok for an RC car
Color: Red
The car is small, so parts are small, so parts are also fragile. There is even a removable warning sticker on the bottom saying the wheel gears can be damaged. NOT for young kids, or anyone that would not respect that it is fragile. First use the car ran pretty good, better than I expected, actually much faster than I expected. However even on the first run, the tiny gears tend to get jammed or stick. I wonder if they are lubed, or if doing so would prevent this. Sometimes the steering gets stuck and will not turn one way or the other, and you need to wiggle the wheel to get it unstuck. There may be a break in period. Because it is not always the same direction, I wonder if there is a bit of debris in the gears. Even the motor gears got stuck once or twice. The car is powerful enough to do wheelies, easily with help from the camera weight being so high. It was actually stable enough that it did not tip over when turning. Could not make use of the camera at all... since this is the car that does not come with the goggles. I assumed the goggles just held a phone, and it would work with a phone, but it is actual real FPV goggles that it uses. There is an app for a car like this, but since it did not work, I suspect this is for a different version of this car that uses a phone, instead of goggles and a remote. Just sitting in my hand, while I read the instructions and looked for an app, the camera got quite hot. Turn signal lights seem brighter on one side than the other. Rear lights come on when the car moves forward, not when it stops. Overall I like it, but there is room for improvement. ... show more

  • Won’t Drive Straight
Color: Red
I really wanted to love this little car but it just doesn’t drive straight due to a perceived design issue. It can’t be trimmed. Basically if you turn right and then release the wheel the car will start turning to the left. If you turn left and then release the wheel the car will start turning right. The degree to which it turns the other way is variable but can be as bad as a 3’ radius. You constantly have to correct the steering to get it to go in the general direction desired which makes for a very jerky FPV experience. I have confirmed this issue is present on two units I purchased which is why I believe it’s a design issue. ... show more

  • More of an Add-on Rather Than a Separate Product.
Color: Blue
This product only makes sense if you already have the complete kit or are not planning on using the FPV function. The reason is that the car does not have the FPV goggles or an FPV app for your phone. There is no way to even purchase the goggles separately from the seller. However, several standalone goggles are available to purchase separately from other manufacturers. My only other complaint is that there is a hole on top of the remote where an antenna should have been. The range of the car is small, so it is probably not needed, but it could act as a water ingress point directly into the remote. Suppose you aren’t interested in the FPV functionality. In that case, this car has so many positives that I would still say it’s worth it just by itself. There was so much attention to detail in this product, from the case to all the little features. Every time I turn on the car, I discover another little nuanced feature I didn’t notice before. For instance, when you turn the car off, the turn signals flash a few times to simulate locking the doors of a real car. When you turn the car on but don’t immediately connect it to the remote, the turn signals go from slow flashing to rapid flashing to simulate an alarm going off. There are also functioning turn signals, brake lights, headlights, and under-body glow lights. These functions are activated automatically by releasing the throttle or turning the steering wheel. I can’t stress enough how impressed I am by this car. It appears that whoever engineered this car did it out of a labor of love for automotive things. So much thought and creativity went into such a tiny package that I’m surprised it’s not bursting at the seams. The artwork sticker and keychain are so well done, and high quality that they feel like a collectible—There are even tiny little thread patterns on the small little tires. The performance is impressive, with it popping a wheely sometimes. I could go on all day about how amazing this car is, but this review is getting very wordy. This would make a fantastic present for the automotive fanatic in your family. ... show more
