In today's lock market exits two very different types of locks, Wi-Fi locks and Bluetooth locks. This is ONLY a Bluetooth lock without the G2 Gateway. I added the Gateway and it transformed this lock into a magical experience. Before installing any automatic lock, make sure that the deadbolt properly aligns with the hole on the frame of the door. This will help you not have any issues with the automatic lock function, jamming or malfunction. There are two holes that MUST be drilled. Top hole for a screw and the second hole for the connector cable. The top hole I used a basic drill bit shown in the image. This top hole allows the supporting screw to be passed from the outside assembly and connects to the inside assembly. The purpose of this screw is to hold the entire lock from turning clockwise or counterclockwise when the lever is pushed down when opening. I returned two other locks because they did not have this screw. Without the screw, the lock shifts a few millimeters at a time and eventually the deadbolt inside gets misaligned and jams from opening or locking. The interior mounting bracket has that top hole pre-dilled which I aligned and marked on the door before drilling. The second hole I drilled I used the half inch bit shown. This second hole is used to pass the connecting cable from the external panel to the inside panel. I drilled it about 0.75 inches from the top hole just so that it passes straight through from the external keypad panel to the interior. Bending this cable before passing though will cause the external panel not to have a tight fit. After that assembly was a breeze. Bluetooth does not work if you are a few feet away. I had to be near the door when programming When setting up access codes in the App, one has to be within 2 feet otherwise Bluetooth does not connect. Therefore, remote opening and locking functionality is not possible with this lock. This will only allow you to use your Bluetooth to open the door if you are within a few feet with the lock. The G2 Module came in just 2 days. I had already set up TUYO the app. Adding the G2 module was so easy I couldn't believe it. After adding the Module I connected the module to the lock. Again that was so easy. I disconnected the Bluetooth to test the remote open and close function and it worked like magic. Overall, this lock is AMAZING with the G2 Module. I can now remotely lock and unlock the door. I can add temporary access codes and delete those not in use. The lock is set to automatically close after 5 seconds. My lock is directly facing the midday sun and sunset which heats up my front door. I have not had any issues in regards to temperature issues. Looks good. Very well packaged with pride. Taking it out of the package is an experience all together worth noting. ... show more

I was very excited to have this smart lock installed today. It took me about an hour to figure it out and get it properly installed. The main issue was the connecting square bar, which was a bit too long, so I had to cut off about half an inch to make it fit. I believe this lock is designed for a main entry door rather than an office door. The installation requires two holes on the door. The existing hole was the right size for the new lock, but I needed to drill an additional hole to secure it. The app installation and device setup were straightforward. I initially tried using WiFi, but it didn't work, so I connected via Bluetooth instead. The app allows me to add multiple fingerprints easily, and the fingerprint unlock is instantaneous. It also offers options to add codes and cards, although I haven't tried the code feature yet because I don't feel it's necessary. The package includes six cards, but I was unable to add any of them. The lock has an auto-lock function, which automatically locks the door in a second. It also works with Alexa, but I haven't tried that feature yet. Using the app, I can wirelessly lock and unlock the smart lock with ease. According to the instructions, the four AAA batteries will last 6-12 months, so I won't have to worry about replacing them for a while. Overall, I think this is a great product, and the price is good too. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

I bought 2 of these , there beyond great.. fingerprints easy install through app. Has RFI cards and keys , plus combination. I am so pleased with the quality of the design and the performance. The important thing is when installing , make sure the inner rod slots arrow is NOT pointing up and down. It needs to be sideways or the lock will not activate. The notice for this is on a red cable on inside of lock. So if you just look at instructions you might miss it. Once this is easily set the locks become perfection. ... show more

    • Exceeded My Expectations
I needed a biometric lock to access my server room, so I could setup and grant access to specific people. I first looked at a Unifi option for my network but was going to cost me a 10x as much as this lock. After installing the lock, I'm able to setup new users from the app, where I can program their thumb print, personalized access code, and/ or an access card per user. You can setup multiple admins, if wanted, and multiple users. The lock comes with multiple access cards, which I setup as a backup. You also get a log of all users accessing the lock, and you can revoke access, which I haven't needed to use this option. The lock does everything you'll need it to do at a great price. ... show more

So first it didn't fit on the door I had intended it for because I had a dead bolt and door and my spacing was too far apart but I like the lock so I put it on a different door that it did work on. I like the fingerprint to get in. And the app lets me know when it has opened or been attempted to be opened. So that's good to have and my Google homes connect to it and will close and open too which is helpful. Pretty easy to get set up. And switching the door handle is important and make sure the arrows are pointing the proper way.
