The media could not be loaded. I'm having serious issues with this lock and for what I paid between the lock and I bought the gateway separate I may just return it and order another brand . I've connected this to alexa and I programmed my daughter's fingerprints and had them each put codes inside the app. My husband's fingers and code and the other day I was not home and both times I was gone . My husband's finger and code did not work. Same as my daughter's. Both things . I went into the app. I pressed the unlock button for the both of them. Two separate days !! The app reads that I need to restart blutooth but yet it let me lock the door. Anyway I went into alexa app and told alexa to unlock the door and that did work !! Thank God. Like I said it was 2 different days for 2 different people. Anyway I've also noticed that when I'm coming in the door and I use my finger print I can hear the darn thing trying to unlock the deadbolt but not fully. I try it again and again and I can hear it trying to work but doesn't fully unlock. I told my husband to check all screws in the hinges. Everything is tight so it isn't anything restricting the lock from unlocking. I have brand new brand name batteries inside this device so it isn't that. ! I'm extremely disappointed. You'd think after paying 200 dollars verses a 50 dollar lock set that you'd get a really great product .. I have another fingerprint brand doorknob on my bedroom door and it works great. I can be anywhere in my house and use the app to unlock it . It never doesn't read my finger . I have no issues with that one and I only paid around 70 for it . It'sGeek smart knob. It doesn't come with the gateway so I can't navigate it away from home but I trust it to work for my husband when I am gone . Now this one . Wow I literally had to put my phone up against it using the Bluetooth to put each and every code in for it to store it in the unit . Also is the other reason why I had gone and purchased the gateway so I didn't have to be up on it every use with my phone in my hand . And greatfully for alexa to navigate it. I also wanna say. I made sure I used the passcodes for all 4 of my family members the same day we installed bc if you don't then it's no good after 24 hours . Everything was done correctly. I'm still amazed that alexa was able to save the day both times. I'm extremely disappointed in this product . I thought it was genius to have come up with such an amazing product . I gave it 1 star just so I could write this review . Overall I am not happy with this what so ever!!!! . UPDATED REVIEW: I got ahold of an Amazon Rep . She helped me out. Not the company!!! The seller was blaming me saying i didnt install it correctly and to watch the video . That made me so mad bc we watched the video Before setup and again as we were installing it but anyway amazon They sent another lock to me and this one works great. It reads our finger prints and codes . No problem with this one. 👌 my only issue with this is that I use to be able to tell alexa to unlock the door and now the gateway is still attached to the old lock so it's now not working with alexa . I'm thinking to just send this gateway back and reset the new one with the new lock . I've tried deleting the old lock from the app but it's asking for a code that I have no idea what code it's talking about but the app won't let me delete that bad lock and then alexa is confusing the old lock with the new one. I'm also trying to figure out how to delete the old lock from alexa and like I said. I think I need to replace the gateway with another new one . Maybe alexa will pick up the new gateway and actually work. Anyway I really love this lock now that it's actually working correctly. This lock was a game changer! The installation was easy. We replaced an existing lock so no drilling or was cutting required. The app is user friendly and easy to maneuver. Lock comes with a couple of cards/fobs and keys. Everyone in our house unlocks the front door using a pass code or fingerprint. My kids no longer need to keep up with their house key.
