Nice and easy to install just as easy as installing a normal door lock. Setup was very easy and absolutely love the ability to control it with my smart phone. I had a previous door lock that did not have the smart phone app capability and makes it so much better when bringing in something that takes both hands or have just tons of bags from grocery shopping. I am able to unlock it from the app, fingerprints, keyfob, key, or code. Overall quality is very nice and solid and finger print reader works great except for when raining and if you finger gets wet it does seem to interfere with reading it. But for those times I either use the fob or phone app. The phone app is very robust and works very well. In an emergency and you dont have the key when the power runs out you can use an external battery source through the usb cable to power it to get in so you can replace the batteries. Geonfino is magnificent in their creation of this Doorlock unit. It does not connect to wifi but does connect to app, IC Cards (Prox keys), has actual physical keys, as well as pincode and fingerprint. I've been using it for a while now and not once have I had a single problem. The app is used to program it, you can set up multiple users simply on the fly, admin code, link it to your device, You can set up one-time use codes, codes for certain timeframes, repeat codes 24/7, it has logging on it as well so you can see who and when gained entry (unless they used the physical key, which no one who has access (except for me) has a physical key. It works tremendously well and the fingerprint biometric ready is on the nose for timing, it's dang near instant. ... show more

    • Perfect for hotel but not home use
The installation is easy if you watch the installation videos in the product page on Amazon. Otherwise, the printed user manual is not very useful and the pictures and text are not very intuitive. I started with user manual but could figure out how to set lock handle properly for the left orientation. I only learned how to do it by watching the videos. I think the user manual should clearly point buyers to watch the videos first. Functionally, the lock works as expected. However, there is one important mechanical lock function this smart lock doesn't support. That is a manual button on the inside to lock/unlock when auto-lock is off. Without this feature, one must use the phone app to do so. This may be okay for hotel room with auto-lock always enabled. For home use, in my case, on the door between my kitchen and my garage. Most of the time, this door is not locked because we go in and out through this door often. It would be manually locked at night at no fixed time. With my mechanical lock, all I have to do is to turn lock handle on the doorknob to locked position. With this smart lock, I have locked it using my cellphone app. But who carries a cell phone running around the house? More than likely, my cell phone would be placed on the kitchen counter when I'm home. Overall, this smart works fine so far. If you don't have a smart lock then it is absolutely essential for home security. Disposing sensor works well and is fast. It has so many ways for you and only you to open but has a very hefty and secure feel. Just feels great. So is a bit of a pain but what you get is so worth the patience.
