  • Great improvement over older model
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
I purchased this to replace a 10 year old unit which is still operational, but the LCD screen is harder to read. I love this new unit with the back-lit display. It is much easier to read. The fonts are larger and clearer. The new remote was easy to setup and sync with my current receiver unit. I did not have to replace the receiver unit; so I am saving it if I need it later. I received the product very quickly. Of note, there is a program function where the remote will turn the stove on and off according to a schedule. Not sure if I will use that function for safety reasons (maybe I am over cautious). I wish I bought this a while ago because its so much easier to read. I definitely recommend this. ... show more

  • Great option for remote thermostat with automatic setback temperature.
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
I am using this on a Harman P43 pellet stove. The control box is inserted in series between one of the wires of the temperature sensor and the back of the stove—it doesn’t matter which one. I put the remote/temperature sensor unit near the entrance in the next room—play with the position to find what works for you, but this allows my pellet stove in the kitchen to make sure it keeps the living room warm. The temperature on the stove should be set to room temp and at least a few degrees above your target temperature—some recommend 10 or more degrees to get maximum burn when the sky tech thermostat is “on”. My settings are 75 on the stove, 71 on the Skytech with a swing temperature of 1 degree. I leave my stove on manual ignition for a constant maintenance burn when it’s below 40 degrees. A quick flick to auto while the Skytech is on will start the auto-lighting sequence, and then back to manual to keep it from shutting down completely between calls for heat—this eases my mind on cold nights that it won’t shut off and fail to light if I don’t get the burn pot scraped well enough. Leaving in the auto position will start and stop the stove as needed. Make sure to keep the auto-ignition area of the burn pot scraped to metal daily to avoid failed starts—I am able to do this while in maintenance burn by scraping under the hot coals, but this may not be recommended. Setback temp operation: set the thermostat to “thermo” and the desired setback temperature (or non program temperature). I use 65 degrees for overnight. Then turn on the “PROG” function and the thermostat will operate to the program set point during the program times and the setback temperature the rest of the time. To change the setback temperature, turn off PROG and then change the temperature and turn PROG back on. This allows me to save pellets overnight and still have the house warm by the time I get up in the morning. ... show more

  • Enjoy your hands free fireplace!!
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
Was confused at first with the electronic pilot light. But with the help of the guys at Sjytech who took the extra time to dianose my issue it is working like a charm. I had a wall switch to pilot light I thought was 110v turned out it was a low voltage connection which only required me to replace it with the Skytech receiver. Piece of cake. Thank you support guys Skytech is the best!! S Hill in NC ... show more

  • Exceptionally easy install, clever attachment idea
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
After finding it impossible to get assistance or service from local stove shops to install a thermostat on our older Regency stove, I came across this item. I was hesitant to do anything with gas, but the connection was so easy and the thermostat worked right off the bat. Only challenge was, with a stove (rather than a fireplace), there's no good place to attach it with 18" of wire. So I superglued 4 very small (rare earth) magnets I had in the shop, and stuck it to the bottom. You don't even see it, and it stays relatively cool down there. The remote is easy to operate and I'm very happy with the system. ... show more

  • Works ok, bur limited programming capability
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
I bought this to replace a 3301. It was easy to install, and works with the old receiver. I just had to use the learn button on the receiver to pair it with the new transmitter. I'm saving the receiver that came with the 3301P2 in case I need it later. My main problem is that it only allows 2 programs per day, one for midnight to noon, and the other for noon to midnight. In addition, it only allows one set of programs for week ends, and another for week days. ... show more

  • Love this remote!!
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
We bought a Duluth Forge Ventless Fireplace in June that has a thermo remote. Right out of the box it didn't work correctly. The flame would show on the remote, but the burners wouldn't be on or the flame wouldn't be showing but the burners would be on. I tried calling the company that we bought it from, but there is only a recording telling customers to send an email. After 3 weeks of no response I decided I had wasted enough time with the company, so I started researching a replacement remote and receiver. This remote and receiver had great reviews and I liked the functions and display. I felt pretty confident that I could replace the Procom remote and receiver that came on the fireplace. We received it a few days before we expected. I decided to see if the remote would work with the receiver that came on the fireplace and it did!! Was excited that we wouldn't have to replace the receiver. We have had it for 3 weeks and we absolutely love this remote. It has functioned exactly as it is supposed to and it is much easier to use because of the display and the up-down buttons. It is well worth the money for the piece of mind that we won't get up to find the living room is 85 degrees like we did with the original remote and receiver plus we have the extra receiver on hand if the original one malfunctions. I would definitely recommend this remote and receiver to anyone!! ... show more

  • Very Simple to Install
Size: No Blower Control Style: Backlist Display
Very simple to install - Install the batteries in the remote, set the time/date/am-pm, install the batteries in the control box, disconnect the old wall switch, install wires to new control box. Press the Learning button on the control box, press the mode button on the remote, hear beep beep, and you are off to the races. Snap the wall plate onto the control box, put the control switch button on, and screw the wall plate to the box. All done. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Seems to be exactly as advertised. ... show more
