    • Pay attention to the instructions!

Love the lock and hopefully it will weather the test of time. The instructions are actually pretty good, but they are not idiot proof (I know because I'm the idiot). Pay attention to the drawings and details, such as the orientation of the latch, being precise when drilling the holes in the door and door frame, and correct insertion of the batteries. Be patient if something doesn't work right initially, since the problem is most likely not a defective lock (I realized I had done something wrong when I couldn't remove a key in the unlocked position: I had installed the keypad assembly when the latch was in the locked position). And if thing still aren't going right, just relax, have a beverage, and turn the project over to your kid. ... show more

Works great, easy to install, was kind of confusing changing the code but watched video on YouTube and it helped tremendously, must use best batteries possible because cheap ones do drain fast but other than that would definitely recommend, well worth the purchase

So I had one and it was easy to use and install. Then it started to act up and then stopped working. I have an Airbnb so probably gets a ton of use. I assumed that maybe over use was why it failed so ordered another as soon as it failed. When I uninstalled the plastic prongs that turn the locking mechanism were worn and broken. Since I could be lockless and already had bought a replacement went ahead and installed the new one. 6 months later same issue. Maybe in a closet you don’t constantly go in and out of? Since the price is cheap. But the plastic mechanism breaks- now twice!!! ... show more

The product seems well made. However the 1st one I received was not working correctly. The lock and unlock were reversed. I watched several videos and could not figure out how to fix the issue. Perfect for what I need. And it automatically locks! Update: I've had this lock in service about a year and a half and for the last 6 months is have been positively EATING batteries. It takes 4 AAs and I would say they *maybe* last 4 weeks, prior to the last 6 months I think I changed the batteries once in a year. Not sure if this is a design flaw or what but it's very odd...I'm getting a bit frustrated ... show more

However if you're using this lock to gain access to another room with an additional layer of security then this is a great lock.
