I recently got the Shinic Twin Window Fan, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for me. I was getting tired of how stuffy my bedroom would get, especially during the evenings. This fan has reversible airflow, which means I can use it to pull in fresh air or push out the hot, stale air. That’s been super handy depending on the time of day. The thermostat control is one of my favorite features. I don’t have to keep fiddling with it because it automatically adjusts based on the temperature. Plus, with three different speeds, I can always find the right setting to stay comfortable. What I also love is how it fits so easily in my window. It’s expandable, so it adjusted perfectly to my window frame without leaving any awkward gaps. Installing it was surprisingly simple too—I didn’t even need any tools. The only slight downside is that it’s not completely silent. It’s not super loud or anything, but if you’re sensitive to noise, you might notice it. For me, the white noise it creates is actually kind of soothing, so it hasn’t been an issue. Overall, I’d say this fan is worth it. It’s practical, works well, and makes my room feel so much fresher. This fan works very well, gets the job done, and easy to control with buttons or remote. The twin blades bring cool exterior air in, or take interior air out, or both at same time, which is the biggest positive, without manually having to lift and rotate the machine. The two legs attach by a clip and supplied screw on bottom and is another useful positive and prevents fan from falling or blowing over if sitting against the window, or on a flat surface. Fan has a moderate weight, hand carrying indentation, and stable white plastic frame. Comes with elastic bug screen cloth filters for front or back side of fan frame and used only when fan is off.     • Weak IR receiver, but otherwise great fan
The media could not be loaded. Despite already having another window fan, I purchased this one since it had a programmable thermostat and would turn on and off automatically. I usually dislike internal thermometers, because their accuracy tends to be thrown off by the output of the device, but since this is just a fan that isn’t really an issue. When it’s cold outside the thermostat on the fan will read a very low temperature, which is somewhat normal but it should read the indoor temperature more than the outdoor temperature, and I hope the probe is near the front and not the back of the fan. This fan is pretty quiet on low, and doesn’t make much more noise on the higher speeds. Since it doesn’t come with a cover I made my own and that’s why there’s magnetic plates on the front, but ignore that. The airflow is good too, even on low it moves a good amount of air. The biggest flaw of this fan is the remote control functionality. There’s nothing wrong with the remote, but the fan doesn’t respond unless I point the remote directly at it, even from only a few feet away. I’ve determined this fan has a weak IR receiver, which could be a problem for those using it in larger rooms. Aside of the IR receiver this fan works great, but it would be nice if there was a stronger IR receiver, one as weak as this almost completely defeats the purpose of a remote, since I have to point the remote directly at the fan and can’t be too far away. ... show more

This fan is absolutely fantastic! I previously used it in a horizontal position, and it worked flawlessly. Now, as seen in the picture, I set it up vertically in a window, and it performs perfectly in this setup too. The airflow is excellent, and it keeps the room fresh without any issues.     • Very capable fan with quiet functionality, and quick air extraction!
The media could not be loaded. The fan is light and easy to set up. The unit comes with legs for letting it sit on the window, or can be customized to fit within the window frame with its expanding sides. It even comes with foam insulation pads to place on the top of the Expandable sides if you wanna have a tighter fit so as to not let much other than air flow through. The remote control responds very quickly and has good range to turn the fan off and on as well as reverse the airflow. The temperature controls are a nice touch if you want to activate it automatically when temperatures are either too low or high. For my use in the kitchen, it quietly and swiftly draws the air out before the smell of the food propagates into the home. ... show more

    • Ok Fan but Lacks a Silent Speed Setting and Extension Wings Are Poorly Designed
I bought a smaller, cheaper version of this fan at Wal-Mart that has a silent low speed and it is great for use in our bedroom with a smaller window. This version is bigger and has more useful features like a remote and the ability to reverse the airflow without turning the fan around in the window. However, this version doesn't have a silent slow speed like the cheaper fan. Both versions of the fan have poorly designed accordion wings on the side that are awkward to use and feel like they will break easily. I don't use them. We live in a location where A/C isn't really needed, but having a window fan is useful to bring in the cool evening air. ... show more
