This fan is of excellent quality and does a great job of air circulation. Having three fan operation modes is a great feature. This fan works great! My bedroom is on the second floor so it get super stuffy. This fan helps bring in the cool night air and my room becomes almost chilly. This fan works so well that my whole room smelled like what the neighbor was smoking, but then I switched it to exhaust and the smell disappeared. I’ve used it for almost a month with no issues! I love that you can have one fan going in each direction and the remote is super handy. My only qualms are- the fan itself has a loud buzz, and the beeps from the buttons are super loud as well. ... show more

At first glance out of the box, it appears to be very cheaply made. It is indeed lightweight and do not expect it to stand up to any abuse but well worth the price. The side expanders do not lock out very well but do good enough to block air from going around the unit in the window. The circulation mode ( one fan air supply and other exhaust at same time) is a very nice feature when used in a closed room where the fan would have to fight air pressure buildup in the room, it probable does have a tenancy to pull in exhaust air in that mode but not enough to make much of a difference, still pulls in air and exhaust excessive air in the room ( possessive air pressure buildup ). this can also be prevented by leaving door open enough to let some air escape the room easily. Not silent but much quieter than any other single fan I have used. Knowing what I know now, I would defiantly purchase again. ... show more

I purchased this for the exhaust feature mostly (though all features are used) My galley kitchen would hold smells despite even having a stove top ventilation system. I purchased this and installed it over my sink in the upper window portion and it works wonderfully to exhaust scents that used to linger in the kitchen after cooking! The remote is perfect because I can't reach to turn the options on/off. I keep then remote in the island drawer easy access. I never thought I could find one of these fans that do so much! It cools, allowing air in, both fans spin..it exhausts both fans to blow out and also has the option where it circulates, one fan one direction, the other fan the opposite direction. All at the touch of buttons on remote. I've been using this for about 2 months now, steadily without fail and couldn't be happier with it. It's quiet too, barely hear it on in all operation modes! The fan I wanted was out of stock and I was melting in 106° heat. So I ordered this one and it arrived in a couple of days. It works fine. It's not as powerful as I'd like. It fit into the window with no problems (standard casement). Definitely measure your window, the side extensions are not very wide. The remote is great. Very handy in the middle of the night. It's two fans in one, with each turning independently. The fan has three speeds. The blades turn both directions, in, out, and one each way (combo). I'm using it primarily to exhaust hot air out of the room through the window. Which is why I wish it were more powerful. It is quiet, but not as quiet as I'd like. Not too heavy. This fan is not my first choice but it will get the job done. The fan I wanted and have owned before is the "Bionaire 8.5inch Twin Window Fan with Reversible Airflow, 3 Speeds, Remote Control". About the same price but with better features, IMO. ... show more

These fans are GREAT! I use them for two things: airing out my workshop of noxious chemical odors (DON'T use them for venting flammable liquids) and bringing in cool predawn air to cool the shop before I turn on the A/C. They are quiet, efficient, and easy to use. I open a window on one end of the shop, and use 2 fans in two windows on the other. The reversable switch makes it easy to control which way you want the air flow to go. Highly recommend them! ... show more
