This Media/Fireplace went together very easily however adjusting the doors was a bit of a challenge but found out easier to adjust if standing in the upright position. Directions were right on and easy to read and follow. One thing I would like to suggest to MFG is to explain you use this as a media center or a fireplace, not both. I thought the middle shelf for media would be above the fireplace insert but you can't use both at the same time. Still love the look thought and I did make it work for us. ... show more

Priced out similar fireplaces on a couple websites. This was a splurge purchase but knew it would make my living room renovation pop. Couldn't pass up with the Amazon installment plan. Easy to assemble.

This fireplace is quite pretty with the crystal rocks, but twice it came damaged and had to send both back. For some reason Amazon has not let me write a negative review about this item twice.     • DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD!!!!!!!!!
I have never written a bad review before, but my conscience will not allow me to rest until I do. If I don't warn people about this dangerous TV console, it would be at the risk of someone losing their life in a fire! If you turn the fireplace off, with the remote control, it is NOT really off as the instructions specify, the electricity is still on in the fireplace box. The electricity went off in my building and when the power was restored, the fireplace activated on its own. This happened right before I left on a two month vacation. I unplugged the unit and thanked god it happened before I walked out the door. Had I left without knowing that the Fireplace was on it certainly would have overheated and could have burnt down the building. I didn't know why the fireplace started on its own and when I return home, I plugged it back in to investigate and it turned on by itself 3 more times!!! I called to return the console, and was told that I would be charged and exorbitant restocking fee, even though the product was defective and dangerous. I then inquired if I could exchange the faulty fireplace box, instead of the whole console, and was told by customer service that the remote control timer must have been set to turn the fireplace on. This was clearly not the situation, I had never set the timer and I was not buying it. I then spoke to someone else who told me that if there was a power surge that the fireplace would come on by itself and that I needed to turn the unit off with the, on/off switch on the firebox itself. I told her this was a dangerous situation and that it should be explained in the instructions. Instructions state that you can use the remote control to turn the fireplace on and off and set timers to turn it on and off, when all the while, the fireplace is actually still on and could activate if there is any interruption in the electrical flow. She dismissed my idea, of changing the instructions, showing no concern for the dangers. Please be advised if you have this unit, turn the fireplace off with the fireplace on off switch on the unit! You cannot turn this unit off using the remote control! ... show more

Don’t order this beautiful piece, come literally in pieces that are broken. You can tell the piece is beautiful. But when it is shipped to you it come with at least 3 to four things damaged how they ship it. And is a pain in the ass to ship back and instead of them giving you a discount so you could fix it yourself they rather you lug this heavy item back to a location. ... show more
