  • Awesome so far
I bought 2 of the F25s and up to this point I couldn’t be happier. I bought them for getting around a 500,000 sq ft warehouse because I was spending the majority of my time walking. I hope they last a long time, so far so good! The only things I could find semi negative to say would be if you’re planning on riding on really hilly areas the f25 might not be the best because the battery goes down really fast when climbing hilly roads but for flat it’s amazing. Second would be that I wish it would lock down thru the app all the way when I’m not near it, you can lock it on the app but when you fall out of Bluetooth range it doesn’t stay locked. ... show more

  • Did not work out of the box...left with a beat up scooter
I ordered this scooter in 10/23 as a prime deal for a Christmas present (12/23). I will admit that it was an error on my part not to take it out of the box to ensure it worked when it arrived, but figured it was brand new, so no need. Gave it as a Christmas present and low and behold it didnt work. It would not turn on at all. Amazon said they couldnt do anything other than send me to Segway customer service since it was past 30 days of purchase date. Contacted Segway customer support and thankfully they did send a pre-paid shipping label. So I package it up, affix label and take to Fedex. After 2 weeks, I contact Segway to inquire as I havent heard anything but FedEx tracking showed it had arrived. They said that it had been received and they were going through it. I told them I expected a new unit as that is what I bought and did not want a repaired or refurbished unit. They said since it was over 30days since purchase, there was nothing they could do other than repair it. After almost a month, the scooter re-arrived in a make shift box, not even the new box that I received after purchasing and the one that I sent it back in. It was semi beat up after being shipped a dozen times, but it does work at least. Lessons learned: 1) DO NOT BUY SEGWAY!! 2) Open anything electronic as soon as you get it to ensure it works. 3) If ordering something as a gift from amazon, make sure you are giving it within 30days of purchase. ... show more

  • Lots of fun.
Well at first I felt the range was really low like 4 miles or less. Then I noticed it did not go up one hill near my house. To steep. Then I decided to check the tire air pressure and discovered it was really low. You can not feel the tire and tell how low like a bike. So I checked the manual for the proper pressure. Aired up the tires using the little hose extender then took it for a ride. The difference is night and day. Range jumped up a lot. It will go up all the medium hills now. I drove it 4 miles the other day and it only used 25 percent of the battery. It is a fun scooter to do what I do with it. Entertainment. If I lived in a city and it was more or less flat it could be a practical means of getting around. I use D mode most of the time not S (Sport) and not E for (Economy). One S uses to much battery and E doesn’t have any power at all. S is fun though. ... show more

  • Very good scooter for short commutes
The scooter is very good. Very fast. I just bought this today. I charged it to 83% the mobile app said I had 8.6 miles of range left. I took my first ride and it only lasted 3.9 miles before the battery was completely drained. So don't rely on this if you have more than 6 miles of commute without ability to charge it in the middle. Other than that it works perfectly. The mobile app is nice. The acceleration feels nice. The regenerative braking is really good and stops pretty quickly from the topspeed. Build quality is solid. The extra tire and tube in the box is very nice to have. ... show more

  • The Tires Basically Totaled My Scooter – Buyers Read Carefully
I imagine that this review will apply to all Segway scooters in the F-series because they're all basically the same frame and setup. I was able to get a whopping 500 miles out of my scooter before the death pop, but even with that mileage, the scooter didn't end up paying for itself in terms of gas. Basically, the tires are very problematic for this scooter. For the life of me, I don't know why the factory didn't mount tubeless tires. Doing so would've resulted in a far better consumer experience. The scooter comes with tube tires, which are great until they're not. Mounting tires on this scooter is almost impossible for a normal person. A person needs a lot of skill, dexterity, and tools to mount a tire on this scooter. (Be skeptical of any YouTube videos that make this look easy.) If a person can't mount these tires themself, they'll need to find a shop, which will charge for labor, and not just parts. After the tube of my rear tire popped, I ended up trying to replace the tire. After using bolt cutters, I was able to cut the old tire off the back wheel (I couldn't get it off otherwise), but when attempting to mount the spare, I ended up puncturing that tire's tube because it was so difficult to mount. BTW, these tires are steel reinforced. They're no joke. So, I found myself in a pickle that required me to purchase a new tire. I didn't want to buy a single tire and leave the front tire used as it would only be a matter of time before that popped, too. Being faced with the costs of new tubeless tires, and the prospect of buying a wrench for the front tire (I had already bought Allen wrenches for the rear tire), I basically did the math and decided that the scooter was totaled. Going to a shop could've easily been $100 or more, and with 500 miles already on the scooter and a good deal of wear, the scooter was already highly depreciated. If the rear tire was this difficult, I can only imagine how hard the front tire would've been. On a side note, the front tire has the most inconvenient tube nozzle I've ever seen. Even with the extension that came in the box, the front tire was always a pain to re-inflate. It's a shame that such a small and silly thing ended up totaling this scooter. Truly a shame. The scooter was still running fine, but at the end of the day, the mighty dollar rules the roost. I'll be buying a new scooter or EUC... It will not be a Segway. ... show more
