This is indeed a smart lock...but the app only works with bluetooth. If you are wanting something you can lock from your phone away from the house, this is not it. This however does autolock after 5-30 seconds, holds up to 50 codes, and if you are within bluetooth distance from the lock, you can unlock/lock it from your phone. You can also create a one time password that will expire after it is used, or you can do longer temporary passwords. You can also see who locks and unlocks your door in the app...after you get home. During install, make sure that you have the locking pin the right way (this took us having to uninstall and reinstall to find the issue). Also, Read The Directions! And also, don't read the directions when it comes to installing the user codes...just download the app and do it on your phone. So Much Easier! ... show more

So I have both the E01 model and the E02 model (this one). With the E01 I can turn off auto-lock without issue using the keypad. This model you have to use the Tuya App, but it won't stay off. It re-enabled itself. I'm still trying to get SecuStone to respond to my email about turning it off.

I bought this on prime day as it had a lot of great reviews. First of all, installation is an absolute breeze. Probably one of the easiest installs I’ve ever done. It took me probably 5 minutes. What is not so great is that 1. The motor is pre programmed to be right opening. So it turned the wrong way for my door. Took me a hot minute to figure out what was going on there. To program it to the left you have to use the app, however, it only saves that function when it wants to. Other times it reverts back to being right opening. 2. For some reason the number pad seems to lose connection quite a bit. Like it will just stop working while I’m inputting a password and some of the keys aren’t working properly. I have brand new batteries in the lock so I’m not entire sure why it is doing that. It is still plugged in so I’m confused. 3. The bottom screw hole on mine is stripped. From the moment I received it, where the bottom screw goes to hold the lock side in place, the screw I was given cannot grip to it. I tried using other ones but it seems as though there is no teeth to allow any sort of grip. So that’s another thing I will have to figure out how to fix. Over all I think I may have just gotten a lemon or something. I had planned to purchase another for our other door but I am not sure now. It is literally so easy to install and set up. I just wish the functions worked as they should. ... show more

    • I spent a little more, but feel like it was worth it.
I had a sudden, urgent need for a locking doorknob, and since I'm somewhat in this business (installing such things), I thought I'd spring for a higher-priced "smart knob" (hehehehehe). Installation was perfectly straightforward just like installing any plain doorknob. The thumb reader is as fast and reliable as it needs to be for up to any user, except for someone being chased by a tiger. I've tried the other methods to verify that they work, and they work. The ONLY thing this doesn't do that you _might_ think it would is allow fully remote unlocks (i.e., you can unlock the door yourself from your phone from anywhere); to do so, you need an additional hub-- no idea the cost. Thankfully, also, the app this one comes with (TTLock) seems to be pretty popular for lots of locks, so it makes it a bit easier to buy other (security) stuff when you're already using it. The lock is very sturdy, and if someone tried to kick or shoulder the door, this doorknob is definitely not where it would fail. ... show more

I really like this door handle. I did get the key fobs to work, just the code and the thumb print. You have to make sure you put your thumb on it just right or it won't open. The directions are not very helpful but other then that it is a great handle.

Got this for my Airbnb apartment. I wanted to have WITH key lock in case of emergency and if batteries went off. Was easy to assemble (standard knob hole size). Used it a couple of times with no issues. Will update later if I found any issues.

    • Great lock for great price!
I have my toddler starting to know how to unlock and lock the original lock so I need to get a smart lock just in case he locks himself inside the room and I have no key with me. I set up the lock myself which is kinda easy to do. The fingerprint works great and the delay time is not too long. I like the code feature the best. I like the app which I can always check who entered the house etc… I will recommend this product if you need an affordable lock and multiple features.
