I have used Schwarzkopf products since the pandemic and love them. My hair is naturally a very mousy brown, which has darkened from a dishwater blonde over the years. It’s just not a pretty color unfortunately, and thus I have been home coloring since as long as I can remember. Earlier this year I did a stint of red, but then was ready to lift back to blonde, which is my comfort zone. I used the Schwarzkopf BlondeMe blue tinted powder and developer to lift, and then let my hair rest. You can see in my first picture how dark my roots are, and the brassiness of my length. I used the Schwarzkopf 9.1 and let that sit on my roots for about 20mins, then worked it through my lengths, and gave an additional 10 mins processing time. I’m please with the way this blended my roots in, and the overall ash color. It’s a little more gray than I anticipated, but I know that it will fade. I personally like the severe ash color, and feel like it compliments my skin tone. This kit has everything I needed and is reasonably priced. I experienced no skin irritation, and feel like this left my hair in good condition after coloring. Again, I’ve been coloring my hair at home for probably 30 years, so I’m super comfortable with the experience, but I feel like, even if you’re a noob, these kits are simple to use, and I would encourage anyone to take the leap, if you’re looking for a reliable, consistently performing product. ... show more

I've never done anything to my hair beyond henna, but I finally decided at the ripe young age of 38 to give myself an ombre bleach job. Listen: I was terrified. But the directions were clear, and I made it out the other side very successfully! What I didn't expect was the smell -- but that's entirely on me. Like, obviously hair bleach smells like actual bleach. (But boy was it terrifying while it worked lol.) Schwarzkopf Keratin - Platinum Blonde 001 - This will do the same thing as any bleach so you’ll need a toner. The conditioner included is not a strong toner. The result comes out pretty yellow, not quite platinum on medium brown hair. The texture seems soft for now but will have to see after washing again if it holds up or what the actual damage was. Used all of the products and followed all of the steps as written on the insert. Gave it 4 stars because it does a decent job for a bleach, but you’ll need a toner so it’s not a one-step hair dye. ... show more

11.4 I was worried about using this initially, because my hair had hot orange roots. It worked really well with minimal breakage. Smell wasn't bad. Overall I'm pleased. It's an improvement. Every time I get my hair done at the salon and spend hundreds of dollars, they don't seem to lighten it to the proper level, so it turns yellow and orange. So frustrating. I’ve been using this product for highlighting my light brown hair to cover gray. I love the pretreatment they provide to protect fragile ends. They also have a purple conditioner that I use to maintain the color. I changed my hair color product I had used for 25 years after trying this one.

I received a pre color and post color creme serum and the color tube and activator. All this halabalo and my hair ended up a dry tangle after rinsing color out. My hair didn't have the usual soft, healthy hair feeling. The color covered my few gray strands and was like the color photo. I always heard 'you get what you pay for' but in this case, not so much.
