    • Must use their ink.
Great printer, crap company. Nowhere do they say you have to use their ink it says it’s recommended but if you use your software without their very expensive ink, you void the warranty, which is fine, but they print a lattice over the top of your prints, which makes them useless. If you use different software, it will print, but the colors are not the same. It was cheaper to buy a brother sublimation printer than replace the ink check out their Better Business Bureau complaints. It’s a great printer, bad company practices. ... show more

Purchasing this printer has to be by far to date the worst experience ever I have experienced through Amazon. I thought I did my homework. I trusted Amazon and trusted a deceptive seller would not be tolerated. Looked at all the avenues to decide if this was the printer I wanted for sublimation printing business. I even endured the hours of boring adds regarding this printer. One word describes my experiences. Lies! Misleading, deceptive, cunning, etc. etc. by the time I discovered all these issues. Bam! I purchased this sawgrass 500. Trust me everything about this purchase is designed to drain your pocket book. Ink is over $300…can’t use inks designed to replace the expensive version. A software upgrade renders those ink uncompatable. The printer won’t recognize these once installing the software required to operate this printer. The required print manager software automatically installs the upgrade, and before realizing there will be a issue in doing so. The list of complaints goes on and on. I financed my purchase and it’s useless. The ink that comes with the machine is half full to begin with as well. The deceptive description is laced with lies. What a nightmare.     • Slow software/Over the top ink prices
The lag in Sawgrass design studio software is terrible.... the worst. Even slower than my work computer. It saves some designs right away. Trying to save other created designs you get the spinning wheel of death. And let us not forget the price of ink cartridges. it's cheaper to buy a new printer. Sawgrass should come up with a refillable ink cartridge. The only saving grace to sawgrass is that when it does decide to finally save and print, the prints are great. That's the only reason for the 2 stars. Otherwise, negative stars would be my option. Sawgrass do better. I'm not impressed. ... show more

Impresora vino bien empaquetada, pero sin manual de instrucciones y las cartuchos de tintas que vinieron junto con la impresora no tenían tinta, y pa colmo nunca imprimió nada, ni tan siquiera lo que esta supuesta a imprimir… Pedido devuelto 👎 y no le compro más a este vendedor.

Sawgrass printers lock you into using their overpriced ink and their print manager, if you try to use a so called compatible ink they put grids over your printed image making their printer unusable. Over priced printer with overpriced ink. The print quality is fine but no better than an Epson printer at a third of the the cost. ... show more
