  • Great product HARD to assemble
Style: 10x7ft Golf Net
Like the product but putting it together was horrible

  • Durable
Style: 10x7ft Golf Net
This is my 2nd Haack net. The previous one lasted for about 4 years and was outside in all weather most of that time. For the price l’m happy with the durability and hope my new one lasts that long. Other than that, what can you say? It’s a net and stops your golf ball.

  • Better than my 2 prior golf nets
Style: 10x7ft Golf Net
I have owned my Haack golf net for about 1 week. These are my initial impressions. I will update my review after I have used the net more extensively. The Haack is the third golf net I have owned. My last one lasted nearly 10 years and I used it for well over 100 hours. I chose the Haack because I believe it will perform and last as well as the last one while being easier to use. The main problem with my old net was the setup and tear-down time: about 15 minutes to set up and 10 to tear down (my first net took even longer). Generally I would only use the net if I had at least an hour to spend. However, I was always tempted to just leave it set up for several days so I could take advantage of smaller time windows for golf practice. I got more use that way, but ultimately ruined the net by exposing it to harsh weather; it couldn't tolerate the high winds that are common in my yard. The Haack is a huge improvement in terms of setup. I can put up the net by myself in about 5 minutes. The tear-down is also about 5 minutes. This will allow me to use the net for smaller practice sessions while also keeping it out of the weather because I'll be less tempted to leave it out in the yard between uses. Some of the reviews state that this net handles wind well, but I'm going to avoid testing that claim as much as possible. The quality of the materials looks very good. I can't speak yet to the longevity, but I'm optimistic. The failure of my old net was in the fiberglass poles. The Haack net has 2 fiberglass poles, and they're about double the width of the ones from my old net. They likely would handle wind better. The mesh on the Haack net is very similar to my old net, which lasted 10 years (with many, many hours of direct sun) and the mesh itself is still in fine shape. The performance of the net so far is great, with one minor concern: I may miss over the top of the net with lofted clubs. I took a few shots with a 54-degree wedge, standing as close to the net as I could without hitting the mesh with the club. My shots consistently hit the net just a few inches from the top. I decided against trying my 60-degree wedge for fear of losing balls. My old net could contain wedge shots a little better because it had more of a half-dome shape, whereas the Haack is mostly a flat mesh surface that leans slightly toward the golfer. All other shots are contained nicely, except for extreme shank shots (don't ask me how I know this :)). Neither of my previous golf nets could contain those either, so the Haack is at least as good in that aspect. Shots do not rebound toward the shooter; they stay harmlessly inside the net where they're easily collected. The carry bag is nice and I like that the net collapses into such a compact package. Bringing it to a friend's yard or other practice area would be very easy as it's lighter and smaller than my golf bag. I agree with the criticism found in several reviews regarding the included assembly instructions. I wasted several minutes trying to follow them before I noticed that every piece is labeled with letters that dictate the assembly pattern (2 pole segments have the letter "A" at one end, so those ends of those segments must be joined). It was much easier once I put down the instruction sheet. I'm on my 3rd golf net now because using a net has helped me to improve my game. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I expect to use this net for many years. ... show more

  • For me, it's worth it.
Style: 10x7ft Golf Net
Also did a review for the Country Club Hitting Strip (10" x 30") which I purchased with this after reading many of the reviews. This golf net is super heavy duty & no doubt durable. Assembled, the height to the top of the flex poles is approx. 92". Base measures approx. 126" (across the front) by 36" deep. The cells of the netting are diamond shaped & measure about 1/2" wide by 1" tall. The assembly instructions are not the easiest to follow but looking at the picture & keep in mind that the net attaches at four corners with the flex poles running thru the nylon sleeves that bear the product logo's. When assembled these sleeves end up on the outside of the back of the net (as pictured). Due to the height of the extended flex poles, (too lazy to go get a step ladder) I chose to hook the net loop to the button at the top of the flex pole before inserting the pole into the base. Be careful not to pinch the bungee type cording that runs inside the flex poles while doing this. Once set up, in just a few minutes I was able to disassemble the unit into two parts to take it inside. I just separated the net loops & then the flex poles from the base, placing the still extended flex poles together holding them side by side & rolling the net up around them. Both sections were then able to fit thru a regular door way. Using the net, I first tried a couple of practice foam balls off a long iron. These barely moved the netting, which was set @ a distance of about 12' from me, so I moved on to real golf balls (which is why I purchased this). The net exceeded my expectations, taking hits from long and short irons, fairway woods and driver shots off a tee. The net would absorb the impact and drop the ball within a foot or two in front of it. When hitting the woods and short irons, I did close the distance from me to the net, to around 8 to 10 feet. Even a couple poor hits that I made off the heel, were picked up by this net. The net did not have to be staked down (stakes provided) or weighted and stayed in place. After several hours of repeated full swing hits into this net on it's first use, no damage, or wear & I didn't experience any hits that went thru or missed the net. This product is a more expensive option that is out there, but in my opinion is worth it. I do not plan on leaving it stay outdoors and it sets back up as easy as it comes down. I like the feeling & sound of a well hit golf shot, working on form and club speed & not having to leave home to improve these. ... show more
