I've been reading a LOT of reviews on wenches, and decided to take the plunge with this RUGCEL 12000 lb. capacity w/synthetic rope. For the price and features this wench offers, I believe its the best value on the market at the moment. The (2) remotes work great! The installation was a breeze and looks awesome! Love this winch. The 2 wireless remotes worked the day I installed the winch, then a week later !st time I was actually going to use the winch both wireless remotes wouldn't work (the lights would just flash fast). I emailed customer support and they got back to me very quickly of how to reset or reprogram the remotes. Now they work perfectly. Thank you for your quick response and great customer service.     • NOT WATERPROOF - Rusted bolts and interior of winch, quit working after 4 months

Winch quit working within 4 months of install on front of Jeep. Pulled the bolts on the motor and saw they were rusted. We didn't drive through water so it would have just been from rain getting into it and we live in Central Texas and it hasn't rained that much. Tried to clean it up and contacted Rugcel and they offered no warranty coverage. The product stated a 3-year limited warranty. After numerous e-mails regarding the issue, with their response being to take the winch apart and put it back together, the company is no longer responding. NOTE: Written before I decided to take another relook at the wiring and decided it made no sense the way it was wired, moved the small black wire to a chassis ground, then lo and behold the damned thing spins like a top. Great winch, lousy directions. It kinda worked, so I overlooked it's defect past the return period (my mistake.) The solenoid goes on-off-on-off repeatedly and rhythmically when you're using it, seems like you don't get as much power as it's capable of because the solenoid doesn't maintain. Also, sometimes the remote catches on "on" and that can be unsettling. I'll keep using it because I can't return it now but won't be buying one again. ... show more

Great product. Came nicely packaged, Pretty straight forward installation, The battery cables were nice and long enough to reach the battery in the back of the engine compartment. The 2 wireless remotes worked great!! All in all it was a good value for what you got. I haven't used it yet, so hopefully when I need it, it won't let me down... ... show more
