  • Great performance at a fair price.
Easy to install and operate. Hand control is easy to use. Great addition to our Jeep Wrangler. Relatively light weight. I look at the winch as an insurance policy. Not purchased to use regularly but only in an emergency so I did not want to spend a ton of $ on a winch.

  • Great product and support
Pulled someone out of the ditch after Helene with this, worked great. I lost a piece (my fault) in the process and RC hooked me up with a replacement quickly! Can't say enough good things here. I'm going to be getting other RC products in the future

  • Solid build
To be fair, I haven't had to use it since I bought it. Of course, when you have it, somehow you don't get stuck. Maybe it's worth it just for that. Regardless, I work in the swamp and am used to pinching equipment out of sticky situations. This is definitely well built. No doubt about it. I slapped a quick connect to it, put it on a hitch receiver cradle, ran cable to the back of the truck and added a quick connect. Didn't feel the need to have it permanently installed on my daily driver. Furthermore, last time I got stuck, I couldn't have gone forward anyway. I'll probably add a hitch receiver to the front of the truck and then be able to use the winch in either direction without getting wild. Rope and hook are quality. No reason to knock it. 80+ feet of rope is why I decided to not go with cable, which usually gives you about 50 feet. ... show more

  • Unable to Clock the Winch Clutch Lever - Fixed!
I purchased this winch, Rough Country 9500-Lb Pro Series. After purchase and test fitting I discovered the clutch location didn't fit with my aftermarket bumper. I called Rough Country support and found out that the winch clutch cannot be clocked or rotated to a position allowing access and clearance. Most other brand winches allow clocking the clutch. So I'm in the process of returning it to Amazon. Update: I watched numerous YouTube videos of clocking other brands of Chinese winches. The clocking process was the same for all of them. I used the same procedure and was able to clock my winch. ... show more

  • Customer service is awful!
The boy that I spoke with, who was less than interested in helping, and annoyed I called, informed me that the rope/cable guide doesn’t attach to the winch. I think he called it a fairlead but it was hard to hear him over the Xbox in the background think he was playing gang beast. You could almost smell the hotdogs his mom had made him for a snack. He then in a moment of brilliance he suggested I should contact the manufacturer of the bumper to get a fix! Please look at the misleading photo, they have the fairlead resting next to the winch with rope run through but not bolted. Pretty sneaky sis! Anyway. Hate to see Tennessee Company with such bad customer service hope he’s not the owners son! Fingers crossed the winch works! ... show more
