Install was pretty easy. It took me about 2 hours on an 09 F-150 including the hidden mount. The winch works great on everything I've used it for so far. Moved fallen trees without a problem and has kept myself and some friends from being stranded on the trails. My only complaint is the lack of a wireless controller option. I have tried a few "universal" controllers without success. The lack of the wireless isn't affecting my overall review. This is a very good winch and priced right. R/C time for that wireless control. I was shopping for a winch for my Wrangler. I narrowed it down between this one and a different brand that was 9500lb. They were the same price so I went with this model because it's 12,000lbs. I have other Rough Country products and have never been disappointed. This is a quality winch. Install was easy and it's more than powerful enough for my needs. There are other models out there that cost a ton more but this was the perfect balance between cost and efficiency for me. Only negative is it doesn't come with a wireless remote. Not a huge deal for me as I've been just fine without one over the years. In many applications, you're better off removing the bumper and installing this on the bumper and reinstalling them as a unit. I recommended this winch 100% ... show more
