Had a $1000 water rowing machine a few years ago & liked it but it was noisy due to the water swishing around in the water tank with every row. It was supposed to simulate the sound of rowing on a lake but sounded more like a toilet flushing. Moved on from that machine to other workout routines but missed rowing as it works 90% of one’s muscles with minimal joint impact, so I decided to look for another rowing machine & thankfully I found this one. It’s whisper quiet & the seat glides back & forth as smooth as silk. It came with a seat pad for extra cushion but I don’t use it as the seat is more than comfortable. The 16 adjustments are more than enough for me as I’m in my 60s & just looking to maintain a level of overall fitness & muscle tone (which is very important as one ages). I’m 5’6” and this machine accommodates my height with plenty of room to spare. As for the 16 levels of tension adjustments… 1 thru 8 are great for cardio training, & 9 thru 16 for cardio plus engaging the muscles a bit more. The monitor is nice too as the display is a good size & the numbers are easy to see. Assembly was straight forward (I used the ‘How To’ video on YouTube, although I did use my own tools instead of the ones that came with the machine. I’m sure the tools included would work just fine but I have ratcheting wrenches & T-handle hex wrenches that sped up the process a bit). The machine is easy to stand up if I want it out of the way & easy enough to move on its front wheels should I want to move it to a different area of my home. I am very satisfied with the quality, design, & function of this rower & highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good workout at an affordable price. 🙂 ... show more

Absolutely in love with this rowing machine. It was easy to put together took less than a half hour. It’s completely silent which makes it possible to work out at any time of the day without disturbing anyone. I love that I can use it while my husband and I watch a movie without it making any noise at all. The tension builds within the magnetic engineering while you are using it due to the friction created within it. It’s an amazing design. It’s slimline design and weight makes it easy to tuck into any corner of a room without taking up space or being an “eyesore”- you truly don’t even notice it’s in a room at all. It glides smoothly and is very comfortable to use. Overall I just cannot say enough great things about this rowing machine. I am extremely impressed and happy with my purchase. All I can say.. is if you want a great rowing machine search no further- buy this one!!! ... show more

I have used it for a while now so I have enough experience to give an honest review. I have not used a lot of rowing machines so I am not comparing with machines 5X the cost. It went together very easily, no complications. It is quiet. I have music on headphones while I row and cannot even hear it working. Range of motion is decent but not great; I would like to have the foot rests and wheel further apart so the 'crunch' part of the rowing motion is more intense. I have not really adjusted the tension so far, have had no need. The seat is a bit hard for my boney butt. I had to get another pad as it was hurting my tailbone if I leaned back too far. Operation is smooth and the exercise is great. Super easy to tip it up and move it out of the way. The display does what I want, which is to keep time for my workout. I don't use anything else on it, or BT. It also tips out of the way so I'm not constantly watching it ("HOW much time left?!?"). I am quite happy with the machine. It feels like it will last a long time and I feel like the workout is just what I need, aside from the few things mentioned above. ... show more

Fast delivery, came in a box, well packed and disassembled. Instruction book with step by step assembly was clearly written and illustrated. Quality parts throughout and machined for perfect fit. Took about 45 minutes to assemble. Pretty much a "no frills" workout machine but does the job nicely with eight levels of resistance. Very, very smooth slide and loved the padded seat. Quiet operation. Good stability with no wobble. The LED display is a bit dim but readable in good light. Gives you the basics: time, distance, total time, etc. Came with an all purpose tool that a good Crescent Wrench is a better option for several of the nuts and bolts. The rower arrived quickly from Amazon. It was very well packed and refreshingly complete, with no missing parts. Kudos to the company for the crystal-clear instructions and ease of assembly. I have spent many hours in an actual rowboat, and the machine can’t duplicate that. It is, however, a similar motion, smooth as silk and nearly silent. So it is not too hard to take a trip down memory lane while rowing and watching my favorite YouTube fishing channels on the iPad. For my 70 year old body the difficulty settings are appropriate and work seamlessly from low to high. Great product! ... show more

This is a really nice rower. It was easy to assemble and fit perfectly in my little apartment gym. My only issue on the assembly was that there was no mention of what to do with the metal piece that goes behind the foot pedals, I had to look at one of the other pictures to figure out where it goes. Other than that, it’s a good cardio workout and you get to follow along with the app to do workouts. Happy Rowing !! ... show more

This is a great tower at a great price. I paid $199 +s&h. Very simple to out together, took maybe 15 minutes. I'm 5'9 and there is plenty of light room with plenty to spare. I don't know how this compares to other at the same price point, is guess they are the same. I picked this over others bc it has a phone holder and delivery had the shortest time. It also has one of the smaller footprints when storing it. Don't get your hopes up with the app, I didn't even bother downloading it. It requires a membership fee and if you didn't buy the smart version of the rower it's a waste of your time.
