I got this to put on my patio table, now it does not give off a huge amount of heat at all. So if that's what you're looking to do you may need to look at something a little bigger, this thing is tiny but it does it's job. I was able to make smores with it. Keep in mind it does not come with a liquid or gel so you would need to purchase 70% or greater alchol. I personally wouldn't pay more than $10-$15 for these portable fire pits ... show more

I live in Minnesota it was -11 -35 wind chill I fired it up using 70 percent isopropyl and my thermostat went from 67 to 72 after burning for 2 30 minute run fills I didn't have the supplies to make s'mores but my bank account will be depleted in the near future
