We recently got thin LED lights to replace the bulbs in our kitchen’s existing recessed ceiling lights. To eliminate the need for hard-wiring, we got these pigtails that screw into the existing light sockets and attach to the new light. This made installation a breeze. With these Rextin pigtails, one thing to keep in mind is that the wiring ends require a small bit of work ― need to strip off the wire’s coating. I’m fine with this small amount of work, as I have a wire stripper from doing minor electrical work around my house. However, not everyone owns a wire stripper or feels comfortable doing this. If you’d rather not have to bother with this, you may want to look for other pigtails that come ready to use…no additional work needed. ... show more

These work perfect but there is also one other type which I need to get. In my installation of these things, I have found there to be two predominant types of endings on the wires. This one is one of them. They work great and I highly recommend them. I hope this seller responds and points me to the other predominant type and they probably just sell it I just do not know what it is called. Can post photos. These pigtails worked great for my project. I was replacing old recessed lights in my home with flush-mount LED fixtures, and these pigtails made the job so much easier. They are well made and I would highly recommend them for your retrofit project.

These worked well, however there was a loose wire that fell out and needed to be pushed back in. I would suggest to give a pull test on the wires before install.
