My kid is really enjoying playing with this truck. The controller is a little finicky, but it is as expected. This takes regular AA batteries, so run time is limited by the quality of the batteries you buy. I used rechargeable AAs, but their voltage is a little lower by default, so it doesn't run quite as fast as it does with alkalines. The whole body lights up from the inside, so there aren't really headlights or tail lights. Either way, it is fun to run around and the dog loves to chase it. ... show more

Got this for my son. He has a collection of RC cars. This one is pretty small (all 4 tires can sit in the palm of my hand). But it functions properly and he had fun with it for a while. I wish it didn’t take so many batteries. It takes 3 in the truck and 2 in the controller and there is no rechargeable battery in the truck like you would get with some other RC cars.     • Uses household AA batteries for long run time, which I liked. Not rechargeable.

This is an attractive RC car that uses AA batteries in both the car (3 batteries) and in the remote (2 batteries). When the power switch is on the car illuminates so that the whole body glows. Overall length is 6 3/4-inches. The remote is quite adequate and works well, though there is only one speed, full blast. You can control the speed somewhat by pulsing the toggle on the remote. It is probably about the perfect speed for entertaining your cat. It is not the sort of toy you see at large parking lots throwing dirt out behind the tires. You brake by reversing the toggle. Steering was very good, I thought, and fun on our hardwood floors. There is a way of straightening up the steering with a turn-dial on the underside. The body is flexible and the mechanical works seem very solid. I think this will last a long time even if run into the furniture regularly. Kids will get a lot 'mileage' out of this toy. The only reason I did not give this a five-star is because the speed is not variable. I do recommend this for kids and adults. And cats. ... show more

I'm rating this a 4 only because I have not had the grandkids over to try this out and do things with it a child will do. But for adults trying this car out - we have found the following to be true and cool: It maneuvers easily and quickly; the material is not only sturdy looking but wild with designs that make it cool looking when it is zipping around; the sound it makes is loud and close to a real car sound; and, there does not appear to be any sharp edges. It is what I would call mid-sized. It is about two male hands width in size (no I do not have a measuring tape - sorry!). It will not drive under most couches so that is a plus. Outside it does well on a smooth-like surface. It does fairly ok on small gravel. Knowing my grandkids they will LOVE this! ... show more
