My 10 year old nephew is in that car obsessed stage where most boys his age go crazy over anything car related. I ordered this for him as a birthday gift and he went bonkers for it. So, let me tell you about this little remote control car! It's decently fast, zooming around with its cool LED lights. It drives pretty well on many surfaces without too many issues. It does take a lot of batteries, which is annoying, but Christmas season is upon us which means everything will need batteries. Overall, this is a nice speedy little RC car, fairly decent quality, has neat little features and kids find it very entertaining. You can't go wrong with this RC car especially when it's what I would call a RC starter car for little ones. This RC car responds extremely quickly so there is practically no lag in the controls which makes it quite fun. The design is nice and the light is a really cool extra feature especially in a low light environment. I will say though, just make sure you have enough batteries as this car uses 3 AA and the remote uses 2 AA. There have been a couple instances where the car has gotten out of signal range so we had to get closer. I'd say the remote will generally lose connection at about 15-18 feet so you do get what you pay for in that aspect. I would prefer to pay a little more for it to be rechargeable but all things considered for the price it's a great little RC car. Definitely recommended! ... show more

My favorite color is Blue, so I ordered a Blue car. Super fast and easy to learn the controls. Play inside or outside it's really great to get this fast car. You just have to experience it.

    • Works great if your standing close to it

You have to stay within 20 feet distance otherwise it won't respond. If someone steps in front of the remote it doesn't work. Also, if you use it inside and go around a corner in your house the connection drops. It has about 8 inch antenna on the controller that seems useless for the connection issues. The remote has 2 buttons on the controller that are there for looks and aren't actual buttons. It would be nice if the remote had an on/off switch, you have to remove the batteries otherwise they will die. This is a decent rc besides usage distance issues. Great if you have kids that like to run around with the car. The car uses 3 AA batteries and the remote uses 2 AA batteries. The car also has a little switch on the bottom to help straighten the wheels as needed. The light on the car is just a LED light underneath the frame, it's bright but I wish you could turn it off when you're playing with the car during the day. ... show more

I assumed this came with a little re-chargeable battery pack like so many other RC cars on Amazon do, but I was mistaken. It takes 2 for the remote and another 3 for the car itself. It's fairly entertaining, although you have to keep it on a flat smooth surface because it's not going over any sort of obstacle. First off, not the entire car lights up, there's a bright light near the roof and the rest of the car tries to glow but despite that, it makes it really fun to use at night. The tires are rubber and grip quite well. I was surprised with the controller response time. The car responds extremely quickly so there is practically no lag in your controls which makes it quite fun. The design is nice; just make sure you have enough batteries. This is a pretty standard remote-controlled car. Range and speed are decent and generally drives straight. Battery life seems reasonable for what it is. Not super high-quality, but good enough for a little one to use or give as a gift to a younger child.
