I have never written a review before but this is so so good. the quality is amazing and i’ve had it for 6 months now. my cat is an escape artist and has never been able to tear it ever. we actually screwed in screws to hold it to the wall which made it even better. super tear-proof! 100000/10!!!

  • Works for my old cat
Size: 32”X82”
I recently adopted a 12-year-old cat who has some very bad habits. I thought I'd put this in my kitchen doorway, because he's been taught that it's okay to climb into the refrigerator and to take food off of our plates while we're eating! Although I've had numerous cats over the years, I've never had a cat as naughty as this one when it came to food and kitchen surfaces, so I've decided to just keep him out of the kitchen. Unfortunately, the one I ordered is way too small for my doorway and I was going to order a larger one for my kitchen, but have decided to just have a door installed instead! The cat also has a habit of sitting at the top of the basement stars in the middle of the night and yowling loud enough to wake the dead, so I have had to create a "night-night" routine for him to get him to a specific area of the house and since there is no door at the entrance where we'd like him to be, I installed this barrier. I will say that the sticky stuff doesn't work well. I had to use the tacks that came with it. Also, this cat doesn't try real hard once a barrier of sorts is in place, as long as it is high enough that he can't jump over it. I think a cat that had an interest in really ripping through it could pull it down or shred it. He is an easy cat in this way. Also, after a few days, he was able to get under one side of it and I had reinforce that side with actual nails, but now it is fine. It works well. He knows his night-night routine and we zip it up and when he goes and yowls at various times in the middle of the night, we still sleep. ... show more

  • Sugar glider parents must have!
Size: 40”X84”
The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our pair of sugar gliders to help keep them in the walk-in closet area at night when we are asleep. It gives them the freedom of having more space to run around in than just a cage and we can be confident that they can't get out and our cat cannot get in. Overall, it's a really great product. The tiny mesh holes are ideal for the glider's so they can still grab onto it and climb it without getting stuck or without having enough room to get through. Putting it up was a breeze. The only issue I have with it is the tax that come with it are not of the highest quality and they tend to fall out pretty easily. I would highly recommend investing in some better tax than the ones they provide. I also wouldn't recommend using the velcro because it tends to rip paint off the walls. If you can find better tax or better velcro, this is 100% a must-have for sugar glider parents who need to secure their babies safely. ... show more

  • Perfect for introducing new kitten to adult cats
Size: 40”X84”
We adopted a 12 week old kitten, and have 2 adult cats. This screen has been great for introducing the kitten to the grown ups starting her off in her own room as a home base, then letting them meet through the screen and get use to eachother. I stapled the Velcro to the door frame because I didn’t want adhesive ripping off the paint, and added a furring strip of wood along the bottom to attach the bottom Velcro with the adhesive (didn’t want the adhesive on our flooring). The adhesive stuck very well to the unpainted wood strip so I can only guess that anyone who experienced problems with the adhesive might be trying to stick it to oil based or high gloss paintwork. I’d recommend using a staple gun instead because staple holes are easy to fill and cover rather than stripped paint, and probably stronger in those situations. The screen itself has held up for 2 weeks to our adult cat repeatedly throwing herself at the kitten and the kitten climbing the screen to the ceiling. I’m not sure how the zipper would hold up for very long term use if unzipped several times a day, but for short term or low traffic use it seems perfect. ... show more

  • Adhesive is horrible, so it's useless.
Size: 38”X83”
Pros: the mesh is very durable and not horrible looking. The Velcro is strong. Easy set-up alone. Cons: despite thoroughly cleaning/prepping the area, the adhesion just peels off of the wall. The wall isn't textured so that's also not the issue. The "U" doesn't sit totally flush/flat so the zipper gets caught and that gentle tug pulls down the whole door. The Velcro stays. Just the adhesive attachment to the wall falls off. Which is pretty detrimental. Thumb tacks are not enough support to hold up. They just fall out when the door falls. My cats don't test boundaries like this but jump baby gates when we aren't watching so we got this. While the mesh would definitely withstand them climbing on it, the adhesive would not. Disappointed. Looking for something different now after only 1 day of use. ... show more

  • It wont last forever, but, while it does, it gets the job done very well
Size: 35.5"X82"
I am currently ordering our fourth of these. If you're using these just temporarily to introduce a new cat, or protect a room for a few days, they do the trick. They're really easy to use and set up, and convenient to get through. Cats will climb it, and they will eventually get the adhesive off, but, it will take them at least a week (at least it did on our door frames, ymmv). But, for the purpose of introducing a new cat, I can't stress how convenient it was. We'd set one up, put food on each side at meal times, and use a laser pointer to play with both cats at the same time (pointing it in one room for a while, then moving it to the other, etc, so the cat's were "playing" together, while not able to actually attack each other. While every cat is different, we had tried solid doors and glass doors before, and it took a long time to get the cats to get along. With these, one pair of cats took just under two weeks, and two others were friends within 3 days. I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent barrier, or as something you used for long unattended, but, for our purposes, we love them. ... show more
