I have to say that it is definitely pet proof, there's no way that a cat is going to take this thing down, and trust me one has tried. LOL This was picked up because there wasn't a screen door, it was a great solution and works great to help keep the insects out, and allow a cool breeze inside. However it was necessary to use some gaff tape to ensure that it was tight. The only downside is that you have to lift up your feet to step over the threshold which is about three to six inches high. And it is kind of a pain in the butt to re-zip it. However you already know what you're getting so it's NOT like it's a BIG surprise... if you don't want to lift your lazy feet up, or don't have the ability to bend down to zip and unzip, then simply don't purchase it.😉😏 ... show more

I had to make this purchase to separate two cats. We took in another cat and she insisted on hunting my other one. We used it to let them see, smell, and "eat" together. It got the full test for sure. It stayed put through one or the other jumping on it and trying to throw kitty swings. We were surprised it did more than we thought we needed it for. Glad to say 9 moths later we no longer have to use it for that but the screen is still working and in place if ever needed. It is as good as you place the velcro. I wouldn't use it between the outside and inside to keep them from going outside. I don't think they could get through the mesh but if you have any weak point where the velcro is placed and if you have a cat/ dog that wants on the other side bad enough they could possibly work at a weak spot. I ordered this product to be able to keep my doors open and to keep my cat inside. I stuck the sticky Velcro all around my trailer door frame and had to make some adjustments. It held together great for a couple months. Once the temperatures started changing the Velcro began to fall off. If I was able to nail it directly to my home it would have been fine and lasted longer. ... show more

It was so easy to install. I love the zipper so we can let the dog out while also keeping the cats inside. I ended up using some small nails in addition to the tacks it came with for extra safety so the cats can’t escape.

I purchased this March 14, 2022 and it was broken 2 months later. It worked very nicely for 1 month but then started catching where the zipper would NOT go up or down. Next the zipper would not close at all. It was completely broken by June. Also, I was told that the company charges a $4 restocking fee. Really? They're going to restock a broken, useless screen? We got new kittens and wanted to keep them out of the 'bad part' of our basement, where the ceiling isn't closed. I looked at gates, but they weren't tall enough and expensive. Took at chance on this and so glad I did! It didn't have to be pretty, just do the job. It stuck well around the door, but not so much on the floor so we added lacrosse sticks at the bottom. It's easy to zip in and out as needed. The kittens haven't even tried to get through it, it kind of freaks them out. They barely even go to the basement at all since they know this blocked off. Went up pretty easily, and did keep the cats out of the renovation area. When we went to remove it however, it took a pretty significant amount of paint off with it. Probably a good solution if you want something semi-permanent, or are planning on painting afterward anyway.
