  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a queen and her kittens! Could use a few improvements.
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. I have a registered cattery and I bought this enclosure for young kittens and mothers to have a safe and secure place to nurse. My initial response is that this enclosure is exactly what I needed. I really like that the wheels are bolted on, so they are not as likely to come off as some other brands where the wheels just jam into the frame. I love love love that it has a pull out tray. I also love that there is no grate on the bottom, I don't want my cats walking on a grate because it's not good for their feet. I'm also super happy that I was able to get one in white. Most of them are black and I think the black ones are a bit of an eye sore. I think the white ones look nicer in a house. Having previously owned an enclosure without a pull out tray, I can tell you this is an absolute MUST have feature! The height is great, as is the width, but I would have preferred it was a few inches longer. It should fit through any doorways pretty easily if you need to move it after it's put together. The entire thing does break down nicely for easy storage which is another great feature. The doors are okay but I do wish they were much larger. The doors can somewhat limit the size of a litter box you can use, unless you want to remove the top to add a bigger box(which would work but would be a hassle). I opted not to use the ladders for safely reasons, I would worry about a kitten getting a leg caught. Now, my only real complaint is that I hate the platforms! Animals feet should not be kept on wire shelving or grates! I really wish the company would have provided solid plastic platforms. It only comes with one cushion for the two shelves, and of course that is going to quickly become worm or dirty so shelf covers aren't a real substitution for solid platforms. I was thankfully able to use one of the platforms from my old pet prevue cat cage, although it was a pretty tight squeeze getting it in. You can see from my photos that the kittens prefer the solid plastic platform that I added, over the wire ones that came with the enclosure. I'm still on the lookout for solid platforms that fit better, but the measurements are a little different from a most other enclosures so it's hard to find a good replacement. Overall I'm super happy with this purchase and I already have another one ordered, and plan to buy two more. Side note: I don't believe in keeping cats in cages long term! I only use them temporarily for small kittens, and quarantined new or sick cats, or to temporarily separate fighting cats. If you plan to keep a cat caged long term, please look into getting a large walk in catio instead. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Better for smaller cats or just one cat
Color: Black
I wanted a cage that my 2 cats would fit in comfortably for when I travel. They get stressed when they go to a new house or a hotel, so I wanted a place they could sleep in and still feel like home. I have a 13 pound male cat and a 9 pound female cat. This is big enough for both of them, but I dont recommend more then a couple of large cats. Might be ok for smaller cats or kittens. The downside is my cats did not like using the ramps. They are just wire and my cats didnt like them. Also, the wire bars for them to sit on, the cats could easily knock them down and again, didnt like sitting on them. So I used padded shelving liner on the bars and the ramps. I also had to use zip ties to make everything a little more sturdy. I did not use the swing bedding that came with the cage, I bought a sturdier one for my large cat. Now they are more comfortable. The next issue I can see me having is that because I used zip ties for bars and ramps, taking apart and putting back together is going to take a little more time, but still worth it for my cats health and safety. Overall, for the price, I am happy with it. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed emotions
Color: Black
Got this for a used good price but it was totaled and incomplete. The person that sent this back, bet it at some points to no return, some metal pieces were broken, the ladders were no where to be found and some parts of the wheels. I put a million nylon ties so I could use it for my kitten rescue, but I can never fold it back, it has to stay up. Couldn’t use the hammock cause it will bend everything with the slight weight of a kitten because it’s so damaged. I really needed one and couldn’t afford new so I will live with it. Overall at least I can use it eventhough it was a hassle to make stand. ... show more

Love this cage to keep my kitten in. Gives her a taste of being outdoor without having to stay out with her and watch out for dogs in the neighborhood!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars This "Kitten Castle" houses a stray 5-6 week old kitten at night
Color: Black
This is the perfect "Kitten Castle" to house the little stray kitten (5-6 weeks old?) that ran up on my back deck to escape a humongous, marauding owl! I scooped her into a carrying case and took her to the vet for a check-up and shots, When we got home, I realized she was pretty frisky to be left unattended with my 19 year old cat when I wasn't close by. So Amazon delivered the cage in 2 days, a friend helped me set it up, and her 8 year old granddaughter promptly named it the Kitten Castle. I'm so glad I chose this one because it 1) can be rolled into different rooms, 2) has a base that's easy to sweep out with a whisk broom, and 3) is spacious; it has plenty of space on that base/floor to place a small litter box and a bed/blankie/toys. The first shelf is perfect for the water and food dish while the other 2 shelves are handy for more toys and just napping. By leaving the bottom door open during the day, the kitten can freely move in and out of the cage to use the litter box, get a drink of water, snack, or whatever then roam her new home, When she hears me pop the top on a can of Fancy Feast, she runs lickity-split up to level 2 to receive her breakfast or dinner. I close the door while the older cat enjoys her meal nearby at a leisurely pace but set a timer for 15 minutes so I don't forget to open the door again. She is also very comfortable sleeping in the cage at night. I believe she feels a bit more secure not having to watch out for predators. The cage is well worth the money spent, is high quality, sturdy, and attractive. ... show more
