Description

The Patio Pacific Cat Door for Horizontal Sliding Windows gives your cats the freedom to come and go as they please without the commitment of more permanent installation in doors or walls. The spring-loaded design expands into the furthest point of your window track for a secure, weathertight fit, no tools required. This horizontal window pet door features a flexible, vinyl flap that cats of all sizes (and even small dogs) can easily pass through. Features: Horizontal window cat door installs quick and easy into your sliding window track (track must be at least 1” thick, installation in larger tracks may require some securing). Sliding window pet door insert fits track height between 34" ‒ 37", 43" ‒ 46", 46 " ‒ 49", and 57" ‒ 60" (for window track measurements within 1" of the lower range (e.g. 35" for the window height range of 34" ‒ 37"), you will need to make sure that you have enough clearance to insert the panel in the track). 5 ⅛" x 8 ¼" flexible, vinyl flap accommodates small dogs and cats of all sizes. Sturdy, white aluminum frame withstands corrosion due to weather. Durable 3/16” single-pane, tempered glass is ideal for mild climates. The media could not be loaded. I got this product for my cats to have a little freedom outside, and it was totally worth it. It arrived in two days and took only a few seconds to install, no need for any assembly or modification to my window frame. Just make sure your window is within the specified height range. It fits very snug once the top is adjusted and I'm not worried about it falling out. Plus, its made from aluminum so I think it will hold up very well to any roughing. My only concerns are that I can't lock my window (however a dowel rod on the rail works just fine) and that there is a very small gap (as seen in my last picture) between my window and the pet door frame. I'm sure a little bit of weatherstripping would solve this though! Overall a high quality, effective product for a reasonable price. ... show more

The door itself is sturdy and fit well. The bottom was bent in on the bottom and if I wasn't able to bend back it wouldn't have fit. I never heard back from seller, which was unfortunate and automatically will not see me doing business with them again. My senior cat took to the flap very well.

This thing is amazing. It fits more than perfect in my window. The top "locking" mechanism has spring that push it up into the top of the window, making it a secure fit. Then you tighten the knobs and that's it! It tool me longer to get the box open than it did to install. After reading the other reviews, I knew the inside cover of the cat door would be tricky to get off. But, if you push in the center, it's actually fairly easy. I was worried upon immediate inspection that my overweight 14 pounder wouldn't fit, but he goes in and out easily. He thought he was pretty hot stuff, being able to go in and out as he wanted. I made a catio out of wire shelving, fake grass for walking on and a lot of zip ties. He loves it and I am thrilled with the final result. I might have to get creative as winter approaches since I live in MN, but for now, this is perfect!! ... show more

The product does a good job of blocking bugs, unwanted "guests" and heavy wind, allowing the cats to come and go. I do wish the door was a bit better sealed (as I probably won't be able to use it in the winter) and it's only a single pane of glass. (not horrible, but could be better.) I also wish the metal edges wrapped around the window frame edges, instead of just butting up against it... as this would provide a bit more air leak protection (wasted AC or Heat.) It could probably stand to have a sliding "lock/block" (for lack of better terms), as getting the cover off pretty much requires a tool. (it's tight and hard to remove - but necessary at night, less you take it out every day.) Otherwise, during warm days, it's fine. I won't likely use it in the winter, too much heat loss. I'm likely wasting a fair bit of cool air to leakage too, in the summer, (sadly.) ... show more
