So far so good, the velcro is strong, so strong that it rips the whole thing off the wall. I saw another person reinforce theirs with screws (I don’t recommend the ones that come with it) and that feels much more secure. Also I would attach the velcro to the screen prior to sticking it on the wall and before taking the protective film off the sticky side because the velcro was super annoying when it would get caught on itself causing me to constantly rip it off the wall and take paint with it, decide how far you want it on each side of the door frame to avoid having to readjust and mess up your walls like I did. 4 stars only because the sticky part was not as secure otherwise the mesh seems pretty durable. My cats haven’t scratched at it yet but the mesh does puncture easily which I found out when the drill slipped as I was screwing in screws ... show more

It does what it’s supposed to do and keeps my cat out of the kitchen. I absolutely love it for that. Here’s the thing, it doesn’t stay very secured to the wall in places and that’s why it comes with the thumb tacks. I bought duct tape to keep it on the wall. I accidentally applied it upside down and had to remove it from the door and it pulled the paint off of the doorframe. Fingers crossed that you’ll only have to remove it once but regardless, you’re gonna wanna have some extra paint on hand. Great cost effective solution for introducing cats to each other. The bummer for me is that I really don't want to stick this on the wooden molding around my door. I'd prefer to adhere it to the drywall as it's easier to patch the tack holes and do touch up paint when I finally peel this off. I ordered the largest size and it was an inch too short, on top and side, to be able to clear the wooden molding. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our pair of sugar gliders to help keep them in the walk-in closet area at night when we are asleep. It gives them the freedom of having more space to run around in than just a cage and we can be confident that they can't get out and our cat cannot get in. Overall, it's a really great product. The tiny mesh holes are ideal for the glider's so they can still grab onto it and climb it without getting stuck or without having enough room to get through. Putting it up was a breeze. The only issue I have with it is the tax that come with it are not of the highest quality and they tend to fall out pretty easily. I would highly recommend investing in some better tax than the ones they provide. I also wouldn't recommend using the velcro because it tends to rip paint off the walls. If you can find better tax or better velcro, this is 100% a must-have for sugar glider parents who need to secure their babies safely. ... show more

I’m an idiot and installed this according to the stock image. Don’t do that. It’s better to install it the other way around so you can actually get in and out. Now I’m going to have to rip it off my door frame and try to redo it the right way up… ugh!!!

This is great, it works- no cats in my room now. My problem was needing it at the top of the staircase, meaning I have to bend down on the first stair to zip and unzip. There is also a slight tripping hazard. I would worry about older folks not lifting their feet up enough. It totally does it’s job, it’s just a bit of a pain and may be difficult for those who can’t bend or squat or are at any type of a fall risk. ... show more

it sends enough of a message and provides enough of a deterrent that my cats haven't tried to push through. would def not restrain a panicked cat. fortunately i don't panic my cats except when i run the vacuum. Some of my cats are very feral but easy going and generally antidrama so i'm lucky. While the design generally works, my old apartment's latex paint invalidated the sticky strip and the velcro. while trying to unvelcro the attachment, the paint pulled off the wall. so yah, the sticky strips and the velcro def hold. i reinforced the parts where the paint peeled away with some screws. wish i had some metal trim to reinforce this more given the cheap paint on my door frame. they do give enough stick tape that if this happens to you you can apply a new piece all around which is nice. I'd also like another version of this with metal trim i could screw it down with and a higher grade material for outdoor use. would make a great screen door to keep the bugs out on a nice day with some better materials. ... show more

I have 2 older cats and just got 2 new kittens and wanted to give them a soft introduction. This product is actually sticking to walls, and doing exactly what I hoped it would do. (Admittedly I was sure it would just fall down) The only issue was the bottom doesn't really work for carpet. I ended up putting the bottom adhesive to a 2"×4" and that is working to keep the kittens in. I am a little worried about the zipper as it is starting to fray a little.
