I recently purchased this gate with the intention of keeping my 70lb dogs out of the hallway that leads towards the guest bedrooms. I have purchased many gates in the past with similar intentions and they have been replaced constantly due to the way they click together. The latches seem to always become damaged from people swinging it and pushing it back with force. One of the things I really liked about this gate is that it opens with a latch and goes in one direction, making it much harder to break since it doesn’t allow you to just force it open. This gate has worked perfectly to keep our little guy from wandering where he shouldn’t. I did use the hardware to secure the gate onto the door frame, and it has held up wonderfully to our baby’s strong arms. Very sturdy. Easy for adults to access. I definitely recommend this one.

I like the fact of how easy it was to install, the directions were simple no screws or drills required. I only have one complaint and it was how I wished the door could open either left or right. On my hallway before my stairs is where I have the gate and it opens on the left so you have to move back in order to get in. The entry way is a bit smaller then I'd like also larger people would have to turn sideways in order to go through. But outta a 10 it's about a 7 lol ... show more

This is an easier to use gate in my opinion. It’s simple to install and since we use it for the door outside my daughter’s bedroom, we didn’t use the nails and the rubber part still holds up the gate. If you use it around stairs, I would definitely recommend putting the nails in for safety but without it, I feel it was pretty stable. The gate feels light but still stable.
