The media could not be loaded. We used this product to cover a door to our backyard. I love that the door lets in natural light, but also wanted to make sure to have some privacy as well. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out, despite some of my own minor errors (had a couple of cuts that weren't quite perfect near the edge so you can see a bit of the light in, but this is very minor). I was worried about giving this a try based on some negative reviews that said it was difficult to install, but I found that watching the video included with the instructions and making sure to use PLENTY of water helped it to go on without any bubbles. It stuck perfectly and we've had no issues with it, even when the dog goes up and paws at the door. I bought the "white" version and you can't see out or in the door really at all. It provides a lot of privacy. We did do an experiment to see how much you could see in or out at night when there is a bright light on the opposite side (such as a bright light indoors). If you are standing outdoors and there is a bright light inside, you can just barely see a bit of the shadow of someone standing very close to the door, and the further away they move, you can't see them at all. We've had this on for a little over a month now with no peeling or issues. Because of the white filter, it actually seems brighter with the natural light coming in now before with traditional transparent glass. A bonus! ... show more

    • Use more water than you think you need!

Product came in fine and was the right dimensions. I had a large area to cover, so it was a little harder than I figured. It states to wet the surface well and work the water to the edges with the squeegey. I should have used more water...but the second one went much easier. Once you get the hang of it its really easy and doesnt bubl at all. The sheerness is perfect. If I have the lights on in the treatmant room you can see its on, but can't see silouhettes or people moving in the room at all. ... show more

When I moved into my house, I had no blinds. I taped an ugly, curtain over the window for privacy from nosey neighbors who stare but never speak. Someone told me about this window cover so I went to Home Depot. Their covers were able to be seen though so I looked on Amazon and chose this vendor for the product. I received it this morning and installed it by myself within one hour. It gives complete privacy and looks beautiful on my door. I highly recommend this product.     • 7 out of 8 rolls were fine, but that 1...

I spent several hours working on putting this film up on my living room windows. I love that they allow in light while giving us just enough privacy. BUT... 1) I got one roll that just DID NOT WORK. No matter what I tried. More water. Less water. It kept pulling up at the edges and eventually just FELL OFF the window after a few days. Super annoyed. 2) Make sure you're really clear on what size and how much you need. I just did the basic sq ft math, and ended up with a lot of "leftover" ends of the rolls that I COULD put up, but would likely be very difficult (since there are no gridlines to follow) and time consuming with (as noted above) no guaranteed results. I'm going to order one more roll, make sure that part of that window is pristinely clean, and try to finish the job properly. Wish me luck! ... show more

    • Backing is almost impossible to remove

This may be a good product IF you can get the backing removed, however, the difficulty of removing the backing is so time consuming, it made it useless for our application. Not sure if we got a bad batch, but none of the rolls we ordered were usable. I tried to get the backing peeled off for over 40 minutes on ONE piece, and never succeeded…. I tried using various tapes to separate it, a razor blade, tweezers, knifes, etc, with no luck. The included tape that’s supposed to help separate the film simply pulled off, and even if it did work, it’s only on one corner, so it’s no help if you have to cut multiple pieces from the giant roll (which I’d expect the vast majority of people would be doing). I finally got a corner peeled up on another piece using gorilla tape and a razor, and a magnifying glass (and damaging the film corner) and the backing was so strongly adhered to the film that I thought I was separating permanent layers of film apart. This backing is adhered WAY too strongly. I have a pair of windowed doors with 30 individual panes that need to be covered, so this is simply not worth the literal DAYS it would take to just get the backing peeled of of all 30 pieces. ... show more
