Description

The Redcat Racing Everest-10 is ready to scale the toughest terrains. The Everest-10 comes completely assembled and includes a 54T RC540 brushed motor, 40A ESC, high torque steering servo, 7.2V NiMH battery, NiMH battery charger, and 2.4GHz radio system. The Everest-10 is a shaft driven rock crawler utilizing a single motor, which is mounted in the center of the vehicle. Telescoping drive shafts deliver power to both front and rear axles, while still allowing the suspension to articulate. The Everest-10 is an impressive performer, and is ready to crawl with the best of them. Large aggressive tires are mounted to functional bead-lock wheels. Each tire is held firmly in place by two aluminum beadlock rings, so there's no need for tire glue. • Great truck
I had one of these years ago. I've now moved on to a little bit more advanced trucks. But, I bought one for my 5 year old son, and he loves it. I'd say it's entry level, but performs quite well. Can't do better for the price. Super fun, good price, great truck

  • Best fun for the money in a crawler
I have a RC4WD bully2 that I've spent about $900 on and the E10 is essentially as good overall. Some things the bully excels at while other times the Everest is the winner. Key to making this great was to replace the tires with soft compound ones, convert to 4WS which is really really cheap and easy, 3s battery from my mini 8ight buggy, softest mini-T rear springs all around to significantly lower the center of gravity and 35t motor. Overall for under $250, because i had a spare radio, servo and 3s batteries already, this thing is terribly impressive. Just replaced the wheels and shocks with shiny aluminum ones because this is my GF 's and that's what she liked, and both of us love driving it several nights a week. Nothing has broken except a couple of wheel hex pins so far. I removed the steering stops on both axles and that's about all it can accept for steering modifications before the wheels turn so much that the dog bones want to pop out. I'm glad i didn't modify it further because it turns great with just that 60 second steering modification. Great crawler and best investment I've made in a long time. I wish my expensive RC4WD was as durable as this thing! Oh, and it pops wheels with 3s lipo and 35t RC4WD brushed motors! I would 100% but this again and i can't say that about many purchases in my life. Very happy with the product, the parts prices and availability from Redcat racing online store. If I were to buy another one I would immediately do the exact same modifications but forgo replacing the stock shocks with aftermarket because the stock ones are pretty decent, the only problem with them is the spring rate is about two and a half times higher than what it should be. I even really liked the radio it came with, just couldn't handle 4WS, which was a bummer. ... show more

  • still working well after almost 2years
still working well after almost 2years. is a tad slow but perfect for inside use and out door rock crawling. The speed is slow enough that old people are not afraid of it when I use it to pass time at the outlet mall.

  • Nice crawler at a good price!
The media could not be loaded. I like the Everest 10 overall, but it was a bit too slow for me. I swapped out the 54T motor with a 27T motor. Now it has enough speed for Trail Walking and is better for rock crawling when you need more wheel speed to spin the tires faster to get a little extra boost. WOT went from 2.6Mph to 5.3 Mph. Any more speed , and I would find it quite hard to control WOT since it is designed for crawling I had to replace the gear box when the small plastic pinion gear completely stripped out. This was partially my fault since the battery fell out and locked up the front wheels. I did not see what happened and kept the throttle on until I heard that nasty grinding noise. I was using a Li-Po battery and found that it did not fit well into the battery tray, would not lay flat. I recommend that if you use Li-Po, check the fit and if it is not secure add heavy duty VELCRO strips to the trays front and the battery. No problems since. I replaced the Plastic gear box with a Full Metal gear box from RC SLL and it seems a bit more quiet, less gear clash noise. I am pleased with the 2 upgrades. I gave it 4 stars due to the battery tray problem. I am using 3500 MAH Li-Po's that will run it for 30 Min WOT, so mix that with some normal driving and rock crawling, I get about 1Hr run time. Pretty darn good I think. ... show more

  • A fun crawler, for little money.
The media could not be loaded. This thing is a lot of fun, and the price is right for sure, The frame is super solid, and a lot of the parts seems to be pretty well made. I have read that there are a few weak spots, plastic drive shafts being the main one, but I am told Redcat backs their stuff and will send replacements. This is a crawler, not fast at all, walking speed. But able to climb over some pretty amazing stuff at that crawling speed. I have been running it a bunch, and pretty hard for the last few couple weeks, and it has taken a lot of spills and tumbles, no issues at all. Great fun! ... show more

  • Amazing quality at decent price
This crawler accommodates a ton of upgrades. It is bulletproof! We beat this thing hard and have never broke a single part. It’s not only a great beginner crawler but a great crawler for anyone. Highly recommend

  • Awesome Rock crawler
This truck can hang with the big boys!! Redcat did a great job in designing. The truck is RTR and battery life is about 3 hours per charge. There are many upgrades available. I opted to run a rear steering servo kit for under 60$. Tbe performance increase is awesome and my pals ended up buying 2 trucks after seeing how it performed. Hands down the best bang for the buck. ... show more
