Took this on our camping trip and worked perfectly. First used it to cook hot dogs on metal skewers and then continued to use it as a heat source for the rest of the night. Provided enough heat for the 2 of us to stay warm. Super portable with carrying bag. We used pellets that I brought but could easily use small kindling as well! ... show more

This little tabletop stove is very compact and easy to put together. It comes with a small bag to keep the pieces in so it can be transported easily. It was easy to create a fire in the stove and there was very little if any smoke that came out the top. With the low smoke there was unfortunately not a lot of heat being given off. This is the second little table top fire pit I have gotten from the vine program and I definitely prefer this one! The other ones I have seen require ethanol as fuel and food grade ethanol isn't super cheap but you know what is? Smoker/grill pellets and chips! You can use little wood pieces too. You could probably use charcoal but you wouldn't get the flame, just the little bit of heat and this doesn't give off much. I was a little bummed that it didn't come with a little protective silicon mat to go underneath. It did do a great job at roasting marshmellows though! ... show more
