I bought this life jacket for my 15-month old (29 lbs) and it fits him securely. We wanted to get one that will fit him for awhile because we live in a coastal area so we spend a lot of time on the water, and also keep it around for our hurricane kit. It has two straps that go through his legs and click in on the torso, which was different for me but great! Wonderful looking vest. My 14 month old is on the larger side but this vest is a bit big because he needs to be taller. Once he gets taller or actually 2 it will be great. I would recommend looking for size based off height and not clothing size around waist. That was my fault but this vest is great. i love the thick strap that goes in-between the legs as it doesn't get uncomfortable , the vest fits perfect and will most likely fit for next summer as well.
